@Ryan I'm doing pretty good. I got a scare over the holidays because I had a series of migraines that were as bad as I've ever had them. The last time I had them like that I ended up in surgery. But fortunately my head "corrected" itself and I'm doing just fine.
I'm absolutely going to get on those crawl errors, boss--I know that's been on the plate for a while now. Especially now before Cam's landing pages get going full-speed again.
@Kelly , ugh. Glad to hear youβre healthy again. Great. I have you doing page level stuff and reaching Korbin campaign level stuff. Working well.
Day or night... You call and I'll answer.

Yo, @Ryan...I just wanted to let you know that I'm always ready to get back in the game on the BLX side of the team whenever you need me. I miss working for you.
@Kelly, perfect timing. That is great to hear. We'll go over that tomorrow in the meeting.

Stuck in meeting, you free most of today?
@Ryan Yes, Sir...I assume we still have that 1:30 SEO meeting today
I have fires to put out, so that meeting was replaced with the above post. Once crawl errors are done, we'll start other keyword optimizing for traffic, leads and organic cases.
@Ryan
11 local SEO tools you should be using https://searchengineland.com/local-seo-tools-you-should-use-4446046
@Kelly, which ones do you think can benefit Ben Crump?
I haven't read it over completely yet. But I was thinking just any client that we might sign who might be targeting locally. Not just BCL.
I just like to collect and share any SEO compilation should we need it in the future.
@Ryan All crawl errors have been completed and the site is being recrawled. Thanks for the patience, Boss.
And as far as those local SEO tools, I think we could get a lot of mileage from the CallRail app:
> 2. CallRail > Tracking actual calls made by people who visited your site vs. just click-to-calls (a.k.a. whenever a phone number button is clicked) is where you can truly level up your SEO reporting game. > Click-to-call numbers can be misleading because they donβt account for desktop users who type the number manually or show the quality of the call. Iβd prefer to report on the number of first-time phone calls rather than just how many times the call button was clicked. > I like using CallRail for call tracking because of its easy GA4 integration. After setting up a dynamic number pool on your site, you can track βfirst-time phone callsβ to see how many new people are calling from your organic landing pages. This helps you better understand the real value of each landing page. > If you find a page with high traffic but few conversions, itβs time to look into some CRO. If you find the page is converting well but has low traffic compared to other pages, itβs time to find what keywords you can improve rankings for to get more traffic.
Ok. Let me know when itβs done and updates.
Hey @Ryan Just FYI. The crawl has been completed and it found 40 crawl errors. I've just now completed those.
4 new BenCrump.com crawl errors, please kill them!
Yes sir. As soon as I get home from lunch, I got em.
And draft an article for these keywords for tomorrow's meeting please:
@Ryan Would you like an article for each keyword, or one article that fits them all?
One article for each keyword that will go on bencrump.com/blog to get ranks and traffic
I'm about 30 mins away from being at the home/office. I'll start as soon as i get there.
I need to cancel our meeting, got some fires to put out. Have we published those pages yet? Can you send me the URLs once Latoya has got them live?
I think Latoya has a question for you, then she'll publish, and then I'll send URLs
I'm going to begin working my way down my SEO duties today and this weekend, and I'd like to get back in the habit of sending you a daily (or weekly?) informal 'to-do/done' list so that you understand what gets done and we can form an idea of how long each individual task takes. With your permission, of course.
I think that habit helps me plan and stay on top of everything also.
*Thread Reply:* You are doing good job, lets meet next week after you continue publishing strategic SEO content. I'm on call with HR team.
Hey. @Ryan.i totally forgot that I have an appt to follow up with my neurologist tomorrow at 1:00pm. Is there any way that we can reschedule our BLX SEO meeting for 3:00pm or later tomorrow, please sir? I'm sorry for the late notice on this.
@Ryan I'm giving Lee access to GA. What direct role should I assign to him?
Marketer Edit audiences, conversions, attribution models, lookback windows, and events for account. Includes Analyst role. GA4 only. Learn more
Analyst Create and edit shared assets like dashboards and annotations for account. Includes Viewer role. Learn more
I'm going with Marketer. I can change it back if you would like me to do that.
@Ryan I hate to bother you because I know you're busy. @Lee Zafra asked me to review the process of fixing 404 errors. I don't want to change links that might break something or reset SEO time value. Can you advise us both? Do we have a tool (maybe MOZ) that can pull out a list of 404s so we're not just stabbing in the dark? And then what do you suggest as a process? Thanks, Boss.
I'm Google Search Console, so I found that we have 38 Not Found (404) pages.
@Kelly, @Lee Zafra, lets work to get those pages "back" or links removed and off the sitemap.xml if not needed. Kelly, even if you have to rewrite pages with keywords.
@Ryan I'm heading to the dentist for an emergency extraction. π¦· Can we reschedule the meeting today, please sir?
@Ryan Should we be doing anything content-wise to coincide with (1) the DEI cutbacks or (2) the rise in ICE arrests? Or do we have to wait for the 'go-ahead' from the client? Just wondering.
@Ryan Please review this comment from Adrienne. The context is that I rewrote a press release using the same AI process that I always do:
"@Kelly, adding a keyword here or there is fine, but you can't rewrite the entire release; it is written purposefully. The headline and opening paragraph can't change."
I disagree with her on this. Ever since the beginning of our time doing BCL press releases, I have instructed ChatGPT to: "Rewrite and refine the press release to meet the most current best practices in press release SEO." And of all the years and releases doing it that way, this is the first time she's ever said this to me. I have a hard time believing whoever writes these releases can meet the SEO requirements better than AI.
I would just appreciate your position on this, please Sir.
*Thread Reply:* Make it more blog article esque, and resubmit
*Thread Reply:* @Ryan Just to be sure, you'd like me to make press releases more blog article-esque going forward, yes?
*Thread Reply:* No, Iβm saying for this instance just write your article to be more of a blog than PR
*Thread Reply:* @Ryan Ok, will do. But going forward, would you like me to keep PR versions closer to the original? Or, would you like me to continue on with the process I've always used?
As you already know, keyword placement is crucial to the release's search success. However, the editorial can't consider this because I use AI to select primary and secondary keywords, and they don't provide me with any. Just FYI.
