@Patsy Miller, the Carve invite is taking longer than expected to adjust to the new information. I will need until 11:30 am.
@Patsy Miller, I sent an email regarding Litfincon and just sent a follow-up email to see if you're attending.
Glad you did. I think I can fit it in but not sure about Andy
Okay. And for AAJ, is this the sponsorship we purchased? New Lawyers Division (NLD) Party $5,000.00 Sold Out 3 Registrations Let loose with the new lawyers and their guests as they host an exciting late-night, themed party.
Cool. I’ve seen a lot of people posting about it!
@Patsy Miller Here is a link to the AAJ tool kit. They've provided hashtags and post copy suggestions https://www.justicewinterconvention.org/SocialMediaToolkit.aspx
@Patsy Miller Park City Dining - all have received a request private dining space is available and the requirements to secure it. The beautiful sushi restaurant was already sold out.
I will look at each of them. If we moved to the previous night could we get into the sushi place?
The previous night is the private dinner for sponsors
Oh! I thought the speakers dinner is Monday night. Is that the dinner you are talking about?
Yes, sorry, speakers. TLMT is hosting a private speakers dinner on Wednesday, Feb 26. This event is not advertised to the general public.
The 26th is Monday. I thought the dinner was on Monday. No?
Yes, that dinner is Monday. Sorry. You're asking about Tuesday. I'll ask.
Have we produced a press release yet to announce my joining Shield?
@Patsy Miller Yuki Yama is sold out and cannot accommodate a party our size until April. They take reservations one month in advance during the winter season. Dos Olas doesn't have any private dining space. It would be the main dining room with guests at multiple tables. The Mustang only offers the 3-course experience during the winter unless it's a full buyout. Each guest gets their choice of any entrée plus any two other choices from our salad, appetizer, or dessert menus. The Private room is for rent up to 25 ppl only.
Hearth and Hill There are two open times for the private dining room. 5pm-7:00pm or 7:30pm - Close. The 5pm time period has a $2,000 Food & Beverage Minimum 7:30pm is $2,000. Space for the entire evening is $3,500. Attached a copy of our private dining menu as well as a photo of the space.
This Food & Beverage minimum does not include the following: Sales tax: 8.75% Service charge: 23% Culinary Fee: 2% Credit card fee: 3.5% Required: 50% deposit (of the Food & Beverage Minimum) to secure the space, and we also require one form of payment at the conclusion of the event.
@Patsy Miller Yes. Andy has the press release.
Works for me. Thanks so much!
Have we locked down Hearth and Hill, or are we still scoping out a restaurant?
I haven't heard back from Handle. I will look into Firewood, the decision is yours on Hearth and Hill.
Honestly, I'm not crazy about Hearth's menu. I'm gluten free and there's not much on their menu I can eat. But I know we need to lock this down quickly so we can send out invitations, so I'm happy to settle with this restaurant. But Firewood looks good too.
I'll let you know if we can get into Firewood.
I called Firewood no answer. It opens at 5 p.m. I sent an email. Let's check Harth and Hill off the list.
I'm leaving the office. I'll be back online in 30 minutes.
@Patsy Miller I've called Firewood several times to no avail, getting someone to answer the phone. I sent an email and am waiting for a response.
I am looking at Deer Valley, 3 miles away, The Mariposa
@Patsy Miller , we need a Google Meet, Huddle, or Zoom to discuss upcoming conferences and dinners. I am out of the office tomorrow at 12:30 for a root canal and will possibly work from home after it's done. Are you available at 9:30 or 10 am tomorrow morning?
Yes. Google meet or zoom is fine. I will likely be at my hair appointment but I can use my AirPods.
I'll send a calendar request for 10 am
Park City dining is not letting us be great ☹️
I think that is best at this point. Should Mariposa get back to me then maybe.
No problem. I like to be better planned anyway.
Me too. I think if we inquire and book rooms one month out then we are fine. It's only going to get more difficult with spring and early summer.
@Patsy Miller I am in shock! Hi Adrienne,
I currently have availability to host your dinner on 2.27. Parties over 12 guests do require a private space. Our private dining room seats up to 20 guests. We offer two seatings 5/530pm or 830/9pm. We offer a 3-course ($120) or 4-course ($135) menu. The minimum is $5,000++. Please let me know if this works for you.
Thank you for your interest and I look forward to connecting with you soon.
Best, Kelli

5:30 is the best time unless you want to unwind and dine at 8:30? 4-course ($135) menu. The minimum is $5,000++.
The problem is that Tuesday is the opening party after the women’s summit. I think it is from 5 to 7
Wonder if they could make an exception and give us a 7:00 start??
@Patsy Miller are you open for a meeting tomorrow if I can get Andy to accept it? You are both traveling all next week, making it difficult to have the MDL Pick 6 conversation.
Yes. Absolutely.
@Patsy Miller please check your email for the remaining Puerto Rico sponsorships
@Patsy Miller PFAS Summit current attendee list
@Patsy Miller Firewood restaurant never responded to the new time request.
No worries. We will figure it out from here. Appreciate you.
@Patsy Miller any update on the MDL Pick 6 sponsorship?
@Patsy Miller Kelli at Firewood just responded. &;30 pm is the earliest he can do
Kelli Murcko (kellilynnmurcko@gmail.com), with whom I am communicating, might be the wife of Chef John Murcko.
I'm discussing this with Andy now.
We decided against it. It's a 15 minute drive down the mountain and too much trouble to get people there.
@Patsy Miller, where is Andy speaking on March 21st? I don't have it on the master calendar.
He’s planning an event like he did last year with Darren Miller.
Thank you. I do remember the event that included a private dinner and that it was successful, however I have no other details. I wasn't working with Andy in this capacity.
@Patsy Miller was there a sponsorship cost? If so, what is it?
No. As far as I know we are co-hosting the event with Darren Miller. Andy told me today that we are hosting a dinner the night before, but I do not yet have all those details.
Yeah, all-you-can-eat and a buffet don't sound exclusive. We did that for our office Christmas dinner, LOL.
Brazilian steakhouse is simply not my style, but it is what it is at this point.
I agree. My dad took me and my siblings to one and I've never done it purpose since. It's not my thing either.
@Patsy Miller MT Puerto Rico. We're doing the Thursday Breakfast, correct?
Our sponsorship is the badge/lanyard/wristband
Probably not one that you knew about. My former employer had the sponsorship last year and backed out this year, so I asked for it.
You're right. I don't have information on it. Can you send the details tomorrow so I can update the spreadsheet?
Let me know what time works for you to get on a call with the MTPR people. My schedule is wide open tomorrow.
Anytime. I will make myself available.
@Patsy Miller https://theguiltfreeglutton.com/
Are we planning to do anything for the swag bag at MTPR?
Not at this time. Andy doesn't want to do swag at the conferences.
Did we actually pay for a sponsorship at MTMP...or just a speaking position on a panel?
Did you ever hear back from Heather? I just messaged her too.
(your email referenced Shannon, but I believe our contact is Heather Shanahan)
Did we actually get the branded Kiosk? for some reason I thought we didn't. I will also follow up with her.
Women En Mass sent an email. Did you receive one too?
@Patsy Miller yes, I paid for the branded kiosk sponsorship.
Branded Kiosk - PAID All Sponsorships include approximate 15-minute speaking spot on Business of Law Day unless otherwise noted; pre-conference advertising on website, special social media post, emails; pre and post conference attendee list; all on-site conference signage and option to include an item in the Welcome Bag. If a booth is part of your package, it includes (4) booth staff • Every attendee (over 1200) must check in at the Registration Kiosk, branded with your logo • Premium booth location
@Patsy Miller I just spoke with Andy, and we still get the 4 people without having a booth. I will find the email.
@Adrienne Hester there should be a registration link in an email…from after we paid for the sponsorship.
@Patsy Miller we already paid. We just need badges. "...I will deduct the difference of $2350. So the price will be $28,400 and include 4 staff." This was sent on Jan 23
We need to register each person. That’s what’s missing. The registration link. I know we already paid.
The problem was that Andy was set up as our admin and he is the only one that got the email about registrations. That’s why I could not access the app. I’ve got access now and I will add whoever needs a badge. Has Andy confirmed anyone other than Cameron and me?
Also, you posted on behalf of Andy about speaking and referred to CASON Carter as Carson. Might want to have that corrected.
@Patsy Miller LITFINCON Los Angeles registration is now open. Super early bird pricing of $999 ends on May 15th. September 17-19, 2024. Andy wants to know about speaking opportunities. I emailed Allyson, and they are "working on the agenda this week! I’ll send you the final agenda within the next few days."
@Patsy Miller the RSVP list from today's event
@Patsy Miller Hi. What day/time did you book the boardroom for MTPR?
It's already on mine and Andy's calendar, if that is why you are asking. We have it from noon to 2:00 on May 1st.
I'm asking so I know and for his calendar.
The elevator pitch will be on the same day or on Thursday?
I have not locked down the pitch yet. Still working on that. I already put the boardroom on his calendar!!
I see it. I'm adding it to my calendar.
I'm not sure if I told you this, but I made reservations at STK in Puerto Rico for both Tuesday and Wednesday night. 8 people the first night and 10 people the second night. If you can, I'd like to get an invite created so I can start inviting people to the dinners.
No, but we can get one made tomorrow for you. What time is dinner?
7:00 both nights. STK is within the hotel where the event is located.
Good morning! We have decided to sponsor the May HarrisMartin MDL Conference (with a focus on Video Game Addiction). I need your help finding a restaurant and putting together an invite. The conference is on May 29th and I'm guessing the speakers' dinner will be that night, which means we could have a small dinner that night...but only with attendees. So, we need to plan a big dinner for the night before, May 28th. (If I have the dates backwards I will let you know as soon as I hear back from them.)
I did a little research and found these with private rooms and somewhat close to the hotel: Valter's Osteria Cucina Toscana Veneto Ristorante Italiano Bambara
I'd like to get this locked down quickly and start inviting people a couple weeks prior to the dinner, if possible.
Appreciate you!
I had the days backwards. The 28th is the speakers' dinner, so that's the night we need a smaller reservation. The 29th should be a bigger dinner for us.
Good Morning. I will have this to you today. How many people at each dinner?
I have no idea how many people are even attending at this point. Maybe we should book the small dinner for 6-8 people and big dinner for 12-15. Once I know more about the attendee list it might make sense to book a bigger dinner on the 29th.
Okay. Am I booking it under Andy and on his card?
But please also give them my name and contact details. (so maybe both names, LOL!)
@Patsy Miller Valter's Osteria opens at 5:30 pm. Must call for reservations. Cucina Toscana - the Enoteca private dining room seats up to 22 Veneto Ristorante Italiano can do semi-private and is available both days; a smaller dinner would be a regular reservation. Groups over six require a pre fix menu. Information is attached. Bambara - hosts up to 22 in private dining. I sent an inquiry.
Hey Girl! I just heard one of our competitors is hosting a dinner the same night I was planning it, so I want to make sure this is an amazing dinner that people will choose over the other one. Theirs will be at Franklin Ave. Cocktails and Kitchen I have not looked into it yet, but if you have time to help me find an amazing restaurant, I would greatly appreciate your help.
@Patsy Miller Hi. I'm just now able to get to this message. We have a long list of people here today and tomorrow, and I've been running around. I will have Julie find a few places. I gave her the Houston fine dining document to reference. I will still make the reservations, etc. Julie will do the research.
Did you happen to reserve Bambara for the 29th? I tried and they said it’s already booked.
That's not me. I was waiting for you to tell me which one you wanted.
Darn! I thought when you told me you sent an inquiry that you were working on booking it. All good.
I sent emails to get information on reservation requirement and not one has responded back with an email or call.
@Patsy Miller, Allyson just followed up about Litfincon LA Sept. 17-19. Shades of Mass is in Houston Sept. 19-21. Below are a few key highlights as we continue to build the LA program:
• David Lat as our featured speaker. • The return of the Judicial Panel, featuring Judge Patrick Bumatay (US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit), Judge Charles Eskridge (US District Cort for the Southern District of Texas), and Judge Taylor McNeel (US District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi). • Pre-conference networking event at on Tuesday, September 17th at Spago. • Connect with over 40 speakers who will discuss their expertise in the litigation finance field on 10 insightful panels. • Enjoy numerous networking breaks, cocktail receptions, and dinner on the Maybourne’s garden terrace.
*Thread Reply:* I’m not even sure if we can pull this one off this year…particularly since it’s right before Shades of Mass. What are the price point for sponsorship again?
Sophie just followed up with a call. Veneto Ristorante Italiano can do semi-private and is available both days; a smaller dinner would be a regular reservation. Groups over six require a pre fix menu.
I think I'm going to stick with the two I've got. Thanks for letting me know. It's been a challenge to find availability that week. I guess people got to Salt Lake City for memorial day week.
Has my company card already been activated?
No idea. Check Al in accounting. I gave it to him when it arrived.
I got it all figured out. The bank has my area code wrong so the activation wasn't working. All good now. Thanks.

@Patsy Miller I set up our AAJ Annual Conference 2024 page and registered Andy. Would you like me to register you?
I just found out we were going on Friday!!
Please let me know which session we are sponsoring so I can put it on my calendar. Andy was very vague about it like he wasn’t 100% sure.
I gave this info to Julie earlier. AAJ 2024 Annual Convention Justice 2024 July 19-23 Music City Center Nashville TN Hotels: J.W. Marriott Nashville and the Omni Nashville We sponsored the Sexual Assault/Child Sex Abuse CLE program Andy is speaking for 3 minutes at the beginning of the session. More than likely an elevator pitch about Shield Legal. https://www.justiceannualconvention.org/SocialMediaToolkit.aspx
Do you know what day/time that CLE program is scheduled?
July 20 8:30AM - 5:00PM CT. The attendee list will be available Fri., June 21
We have it all day, or just for one of those sessions?
I understand it to be one subject of sexual abuse with many topic that will take all day.
There is a reception after that session sponsored by somebody else that you're invited to attend as well.
Don’t we have a one page ad we can use for the upcoming HarrisMartin?
They need something they can publish and include in the course materials.
@Patsy Miller attached is the same ad in a horizontal and vertical format.
@Patsy Miller I keep getting a bounce back from your email. It is the link just in case it didn't go through again. Join Zoom Meeting https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82518124186?pwd=s7fU5C7EJNxRe4huRKy3OmDUrSyGAD.1
