He’s supposed to call me when he knows more. I know he had an appointment at 9:00, but haven’t heard from him yet.

@Cameron Rentch @Andy Rogers I just had a call with John Ray about the PFAS Consortium. The first PFAS Cluster they are pursuing is in North Texas and potentially affects the entire state. He believes they will be going after almost 100 defendants and the list changes based on the geographic location of the plaintiff. There are more defendants but they are choosing to target only those that won't end up bankrupt.

The injury list will be limited, based on the contamination. There is both river and ground water contamination across the entire state of Texas.

They will buy everything we can produce and expect us to keep the cluster confidential in the beginning.

They are planning to file for a state MDL and will welcome us to add more law firms after they get a solid base of clients. They will need more law firms involved to get the MDL approved.

He will provide me with the list of the 22 law firms involved in the consortium as soon as they have all signed the JV agreement. (Greg Cade and Napoli Shkolnik are not involved)

He is only using Shield, Open Jar and Luke Hyde/Drive Digital (small volume) for marketing.

The first round of funding will be $12-$16M and he's working with Legis for all funding.

He's going to include me in the next consortium meetings/calls.

He wants to get things rolling before the next PFAS Summit which starts June 28th.

I will let you know as I have more information.
