@Cameron Rentch I have outlined one of the questions in the Video Game Addiction campaign that has been difficult for agents (both intake and PD) to ask and appropriately answer.
RE: "Battle Pass" "Battle Pass" is a term used across multiple video games but all function similarly. The "Battle Pass" (typically ranging in price from $10-$20 depending on game) provides additional rewards to players for progressing through the pass, either by accumulating in-game experience points or by completing in-game challenges. Most Battle Passes offer free rewards for players who do not want to pay for the pass, as well as exclusive rewards for those that do choose to pay. Free rewards are typically awarded at specific intervals (ex. if a Battle Pass has 100 levels, 1 reward per level, free rewards will be given at levels 5, 10, 15, 20, whereas players who paid for the full version receive rewards upon completion of each level.)
RE: "energy drink or powder" Video Game development studios often partner with various energy drinks/sodas/fast food brands to promote the sale of both the game and the associated brand.
ex. Call of Duty and Mountain Dew On multiple occasions, Call of Duty has utilized its partnership with Mountain Dew while hosting in-game events called "Double XP Weekends" in which players are awarded double the amount of experience points that they would normally receive. Players are encouraged though in-game advertisement as well as social media/tv advertisements to purchase a Mountain Dew product and use the code printed in the inside of the bottle cap to unlock the double experience bonus in-game.
ex. G Fuel/Gamer Supps and Influencers/Streamers G Fuel and Gamer Supps are energy additives (typically a crystal/powdery substance) marketed specifically to video game players, boasting improvements in gaming experience without the drawbacks of using other energy drink products (ie. no jittery feeling, focus improvement, reaction improvement, etc.). G Fuel partners with many video game influencers/streamers who are provided with a unique code that gives them a commission from sales made by consumers who use the code. Streamers/Influences will place a static advertisement within their stream, typically in either the bottom right or left hand corner of their stream, so it is always being advertised while the streamer/influencer is broadcasting to their audience.
this is great feedback @deleted-U04R23BEW3V ^
@deleted-U04R23BEW3V how would you recommend revising the question to best be asked and answered?
@Cameron Rentch I think it might be better to have two questions to accurately capture the intended purpose of the data.
"Has the injured party purchased any additional products (sodas, energy drinks, etc.) to advance their progress in any video games?"
"If so, which products did they purchase and which games did they apply to?"
Thanks @deleted-U04R23BEW3V
