I received an alert a few hours ago asking my to login into gmail on my phone to confirm it was me trying to login — it was not me logging in and I didn’t confirm it.

Maybe that was around the same time you’re talking about.

Do you by any chance know who all else is sharing passwords? Not going to be punishing anyone, and I'll keep your name out of it, but that's a huge security risk, and potentially goes against our cyber security insurance.
