Description of Incident: She was in an inpatient setting and they required to have a physical with a visiting physician in the facility. Dr.Riceberg. Beit T'Shuvah (bet-shuva) - She was there for cannabis use disorder and PTSD. She use to be a fosterkid. It was her first time in this facility. She had been in the facility for 2 weeks already. She tried to decline it because they told her she would need a TBtest and she said it would come back positive. She had a physical already with a chest xray and they said it wasmandatory. Other patients told her to wear double bra because physician is creepy. The person who took her to theappointment told her that he was under supervision where someone else had to be in the room with him. She's apatient there too. She was medical for 3 months and then stayed as an intern. She's still a patient but has housingthere. He started by asking her normal and inappropriate questions. He would repeat himself. He asked about hertrauma and when she declined he called her "feisty" and asked if she had depression. She doesn't. He touched herknee and asked her "what gives you pleasure?" He sat her on the medical table and he sat on there too and he pressed his pelvis agianst her butt. Penis not againsther. He took her shirt off and started rubbing her. The other woman asked if she was okay and later told Dr. to putOlivia's shirt back on. He said he was listening to her lungs. He put her shirt back on. Other patients said he insistedthey have their shirts and bras off. Her bra didn't come off. He rubbed her genitals over her jeans to "find a pulse". Hewas narrating during, "I'm just looking for a pulse". She tried to report it and facility immediately and they tried to cover it up.

For next steps, I think we should get on a call once you have a chance to review the information and talk through what a test campaign would look like and the types of plaintiffs we would want to target. The former male student claimed that Peter Hindle, a Deerfield faculty member from 1956 to 2000 and now deceased, sexually abused him at least 20 times by repeatedly climbing through his dorm room’s window when he was about 16 years old, according to the former student’s lawyer Mitchell Garabedian on Wednesday.”[4] • Phillips Academy Andover: “Another Phillips Academy teacher has been accused of past sexual misconduct. Victor Svec, a Russian instructor at the school and former boys junior varsity volleyball coach, was put on leave of absence from the private school in February after an allegation surfaced that Svec engaged in inappropriate sexual misconduct with a student in the 1980s, according to a letter issued to the Phillips Academy community Monday by Head of School John Palfrey.… It is the ninth time a staff member at the elite boarding school has been implicated in inappropriate sexual activity. In September 2016, the school said an investigation had found five cases of sexual misconduct involving faculty members and students in the 1970s and '80s. Then last August, another report came out identifying three more cases, also stemming from the 1970s and 1980s.”[5] • Portsmouth Abbey: “We have learned, however, since August 2016, about additional incidents of sexual abuse by the same two former members of the Monastery of St. Gregory the Great (the ‘Monastery’) who were responsible for the two incidents of long-ago abuse that were reported in the August 2016 Letter. As detailed below, we have found that, in total, one of these monks sexually abused four minors. For the other, we have found three credible reports of sexual abuse of a minor and one other direct allegation that we were unable to investigate fully.”[6] • Pomfret: “Another elite boarding school is reporting past sexual misconduct by teachers. The Pomfret School in Connecticut says an independent investigation has found several teachers engaged in improper conduct with students between the 1970s and 2000s.”[7] • Loomis Chaffee: “Former longtime school athletics trainer William ‘Ted’ Plamondon and former teacher Thomas Mack both were credibly accused by multiple former students of inappropriate conduct while they were at the school, according to a new report released Wednesday. The report, a third update to the inquiry launched in 2016 to examine allegations of sexual abuse of students by faculty from the 1940s to the 2000s, also identified a new credible accusation against previously accused former teacher Harold Sullivan. The findings released this week bring the total number of former Loomis staff members and teachers found to have been credibly accused of sexual misconduct to eight with incidents dating as far back as 1960 and as recently as 2004, according to Cowdery & Murphy, the Harford-based law firm that has led the investigation for the school over the past three years.”[8] • Milton Academy: “A former Milton Academy teacher was sentenced in Norfolk Superior Court on Friday after he pleaded guilty to child rape charges…. Forbes was just 14 years old when Buono sexually assaulted him on a school trip to Italy in the early 1980s. In all, 18 students accused Buono of sexual abuse.”[9] • Emma Willard: “Reaching back as far as the 1950s, the Emma Willard report recounts case after case in which faculty members — both male and female — had romantic and sexual relationships with students. The authors depict a world where teachers repeatedly exploited the affections of girls attending the school, which has both boarding and day students. There was the ‘Gate House gang’ a sexually active clique made up of educators and students that persisted for years and was named for one of the residences where a teacher lived. The report describes the ‘grooming’ of young women who would be targeted or emotionally wooed into affairs by teachers. Administrators who tried to address the problems encountered a protective culture that one described as a ‘cult of male teachers.’”[10] • Westover School: the “Westover School released a report Tuesday detailing decades of alleged sexual abuse and misconduct by staff at the all-girls, day-and-boarding school. ‘Credible allegations of sexual abuse were identified between 1968 and 2009, involving eight former employees, one spouse of an employee, and one contractor working at the school,’ Westover Chief of Staff Lauren Castagnola said in a statement that accompanied the report.[11] Thanks, Tyler

Here are some of my marketing notes so far:
• Hawaii should be off limits based on our past experiences. While we’re not a law firm, IRS representation may be construed as the practice of law. As we know, Hawaii is the only state that straight up omits a federal exception to permissible practice. I highly recommend we don’t accept clients in Hawaii. AVOID HAWAII • On the other end, most states have explicit safe harbor exceptions for federal practice or provide an exception for certain federally authorized legal services. • While lien filings are public, you’d need to find an aggregator to pull lien filings by county and target market to those areas. Still, we can assume that densely populated areas in general will have more individuals with tax debt so it makes sense to hit those. Faster growing cities (like Vegas and Phoenix, ironically) might yield clients who are less likely to qualify for OICs due to the rising equity in homes. Rural-based clients, by contrast, may yield better OIC candidates because home values aren’t inflated.
Similarly, because the IRS uses standardized national and regional expense allowances for items like housing, food, and transportation, urban/suburban clients may be disproportionately affected because housing/living costs far exceed IRS allowances. So, clients who live here have inflated salaries to cover higher cost of living, but expenses are capped. This disparity leads to a higher disposable income under IRS analysis.

If the abuse occurred on or after November 26, 2019 • Civil lawsuits: A person who was sexually abused as a minor (under 18) has until their 55th birthday to file a civil claim. • Criminal charges: The criminal statute of limitations was eliminated for offenses committed against a minor, meaning a perpetrator can face criminal charges at any time. • Victims between ages 18 and 24: If the abuse occurred when the victim was between 18 and 24, they have until their 30th birthday to file a civil lawsuit. • If the abuse occurred before November 26, 2019 • The old law applies: Because Act 87 is not retroactive, claims for abuse that occurred before the law's effective date are subject to the previous statute of limitations. • Previously time-barred claims: Claims that had already expired by November 26, 2019, remain time-barred unless a "look-back" window is created. • Current efforts for a "look-back" window: The Pennsylvania legislature is still considering legislation (House Bills 462 and 464 as of May 2025) that would establish a two-year window to allow victims with previously expired claims to file lawsuits.
