Ah, you need help with LawRuler's Import Wizard. I can show you how to use that. You will need to put the data you want to import into a CSV for LR to accept it. How many data points are you trying to update?

So you would need to find at least 1 lead ID associated with that contact ID to use in place of contact ID and then it will update the contact ID when the lead's default fields are updated

gotcha, so remove the contact id, replace it with the lead id or case id and it'll automatically update the contact ID

Curious if this will be an issue: we have 24 rows in the contactaddress table (the one I cleaned and will upload with the wizard) that do not have a leadid that match the contactid -- so 24 of them will have a null for the leadid -- should we just leave these in here or remove them?

The lead ID points LawRuler to what needs to be updated. We can either make a profile using that contact ID to give it a lead ID to update or we can manually update the 24 in the contacts section of LR

I don't generally make people's LawRuler accounts when they are new hires. I think IT handles all of that, or possibly Ward? It's supposed to be indicated on the IT sheet for new hires: which accounts, hardware, and software they need
