All data teams other than Ryan are relatively new. Ryan refuses to learn python because he thinks it will go away, and has AI write his SQL. The decision to use DBT and multiple other low code / no code tools is so Ryan can still work with the data. On the actual data teams we work almost entirely within Postgresql, GCP and python
