Hi Malissa, For instance, myself or most likely Alexia will review a file marked in Sent for Firm Review status and notate what exactly is holding up the file. Also, some of our criteria sheets instruct agents to complete the intake (without getting it signed) and mark file Sent for Firm Review status if there is something specific holding up, like an SOL or distance from a facility.

Example: 709153 - Mormon Victim Abuse - HRSC - AWD The criteria instructs the agent to send for firm review if "The client is currently over 39 years old" or if abused in another state other than CA/OR/WA but the PNC is meeting SOL requirements for their state.

All else qualifies on 709153, except... PNC is currently 44 years old and was born in 1981. Per the criteria, the PNC must currently be 39 years old or younger and born on or after 1986.

The current hold up we have at this moment is we need someone to communicate this file to the firm to get approval to sign. Tony would usually do it, but given his other commitments, he has time constraints preventing him from sending these out and monitoring the follow-ups.

In Firm Review status, the call has been reviewed, and the following information has been gathered: 709763 Mormon Victim Abuse - HRSC - AWD • The PNC experienced sexual abuse by her stepfather, William Stover, who held a leadership position within the church. The abuse occurred at her home in Washington and between 1975 and 1984. She is able to identify him through a photograph. The abuse included rape, oral copulation, and vaginal penetration with fingers. Reason For Review: PNC is out of statute as she is currently 54 years old and born in 1970. Per the criteria, the Injured party MUST be currently 39 years old or younger and the injured party MUST have been born in 1986 or later.

Good Morning! In Firm Review status, the call has been reviewed, and the following information has been gathered: 715684, Paraquat 13 - DL - TC-J - Shield Legal • The PNC worked as a sharecropper on a 50+ acre farm in Rutledge, Georgia, alongside his grandfather from 1975 to 1983. The PNC would observe his grandfather mixing Paraquat in a large drum. Also, the PNC would personally apply the herbicide while operating an open-door tractor. The PNC noted that during spraying, wind would frequently blow the Paraquat onto his skin. The PNC and his grandfather would spray 6 - 7 rows of crops to eliminate the weeds in between. The farm grew cotton and soybeans. Reason For Review: The PNC rode on the tractor with his grandfather while he sprayed, and every now and then, his grandfather would let him take a turn, since he was just a child. The PNC isn’t completely sure the chemical was Paraquat, as no one ever told him directly. He just believes it based on what he knows about the tasks he did and how the chemical was used.

The PNC was sexually abused by Officer Shirley and another male Officer in 1973 during 100+ incidents of oral copulation and rape. The PNC can identify both abusers and even another inmate that abused him in the facility.

Reason For Review: PNC can not recall which juvenile hall he was incarcerated in. The PNC states that it was in the Epping, NH area or possibly Rockingham. There are only three facilities that match PNC's description: Sununu Youth Services Center (SYSC), Seacoast Community Diversion Program, and Austin17House. PNC is unable to recall cross streets as well.

Hey Malissa, the “blueish” color comes from adding a dye to the chemical which is not a step that was always followed. Not all farmers/applicators did this and it was more enforced down the line as safety measures were added for restricted use chemical usage. Originally, it was either colorless or yellowish which is what a majority of our PNCs have been able to describe the chemical as.

I hope whoever you are speaking to from Dicello is not confused..

Unfortunately, this client’s claims are time-barred. For Ca-based abuse, the client would only have until age 40 to bring suit. In Utah, the client can sue the individual perpetrator at any time but can only sue the Church until age 22. There was a statute that allows claims barred as of July 2016 to be brough until age 53, but the Supreme Court of Utah ruled that statute cannot be applied to revive time-barred claims. The law in Utah is very stringent because that is where the Mormon Church is based.

Since the abuse occurred in Washington before 6/6/24, the client only had within 3 years of their 18th birthday or until about 2008 in this instance to bring suit. There is also a 3-year discovery period at play in Washington state, so the only way the case would not be barred is if the abuse was discovered within the last 3 years. Given the SOL issue and perpetrator id issue, I think it is best to advise this one is disqualified.

The abuse occurred on five separate occasions in various locations within the church, including the abuser’s office, the Sunday school classroom, and the main service room. @Malissa In Firm Review status, the call has been reviewed and the following information has been gathered: 686938, Firefighting Foam - ELG - ML File: PNC has 13 exposures to the Foam and was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer as of 2025. PNC was stationed at K-16 Seoul Air Base as a Heavy Wheel Vehicle Mechanic, working in the Motor pool. When driving on the flight deck covered in AFFF, his vehicle would become coated in the foam, requiring him to clean it upon returning to the Motor pool. During this process, PNC came into direct contact with wet AFFF, handling it barehanded without wearing goggles or a mask. This occurred at least once a month for 13 months. Additionally, PNC was responsible for cleaning Air CORP tankers that carried AFFF. These tankers, used for firefighting training on the base, would arrive at the Motor pool covered in AFFF. PNC would wash and clean them, again coming into contact with wet foam without protective gear such as goggles or a mask. PNC was not involved in the firefighting training itself, only the cleanup process. Reason for review: If PNC's exposure can be counted at direct.

The PNC was 15 years old at the time of the abuse in 2001 and was abused by Officer Bill, Officer Julia, and many other Officers approximately in 12 incidents. The PNC is able to identify the abusers by hearing their name and by a photo. The PNC was wrongly restrained, beaten, and held down by these abusers. No duplicate files found in Law Ruler or Dual rep. Reason For Review: If not one of the listed qualifying facilities the file must be sent for review. The PNC was sent to Davenport School.

  • The PNC was court-ordered to Eckerd Short-Term Juvenile Justice Center, where he was physically and sexually abused by Chief Aaron in 1998. After being at the facility for five months, Chief Aaron began to abuse the PNC. The PNC was in counseling and sitting in a huddle with other children where they would express their feelings when Chief Aaron took the PNC away from the group and unlawfully restrained him. Chief Aaron would force PNC to lie face down in the snow while he was restrained for 15 minutes. While the PNC would be face down, Chief Aaron would reach inside the PNC's pants and fondle his buttocks. Chief Aaron would always insist on touching the PNC's penis and would attempt to but the PNC would refuse. Chief Aaron would often threaten the PNC and tell him, " I'll make sure you don't go home and see your kids." As the PNC was allowed to go home at times to visit his child.

PNC's DOB is on 08/04/1978, attended Odyssey House Hampton New Hampshire Facility, and was physically abused by Mr. Lawn and other staff members in 1993, 5-6 incidents.

Reason For Review: Due to the Odyssey House not being on the approved list. Odyssey House is a residential substance abuse treatment center. PNC is not sure if she was court-ordered to go there. PNC was taken to the shelter and had to sign for long-term placement, which she had to apply for, be accepted, and do an interview. The court followed her through the process and emancipated her at 17 when she graduated from the program

The PNC then changed his answer with the PD and said it happened at Boysville. He claimed Calhoun County was called Boysville at the time when he was there starting in 1998.

While the case was flagged so we can seek approval for the facility, the PNC called in twice to make sure we updated the facility to Holy Cross Services and said that was where the abuse took place. The agent asked if he was court ordered to be there, the PNC responded "yes".

This claim has already been signed: 736617, MI Foster Care Abuse - SGGH - Meadow Law. • PNC was placed in a Foster Home located in Lowell, Michigan. PNC's foster mother was Laurie Geiger and her abuser was the boyfriend of the Mother, Andy. During the evenings, Andy would drug PNC by spiking her drink. While she was unconscious, PNC was subjected to vaginal and anal penetration. She would wake up with bruising on her thighs and arms, vaginal and anal bleeding, and evidence of semen. PNC also experienced hangover-like symptoms from the effects of the drugs. Andy committed these acts when Laurie Geiger was away, leaving only PNC and two other children in the home. This occurred over five plus times from 1988-1989. • Reason for review: The PNC was not conscious during the abuse. The PNC believes she was drugged because of how she felt after waking up the next day and it would only occur when Andy was at her home and when he would offer her fruit punch.

The PNC would be given medication and prior to her going back to her room she would have to be searched in a separate room used for searches, which was normally routine. The PNC states the abuser groped her breast and vagina but usually wore gloves in 4 instances. However, there was one instance the abuser forgot to wear any gloves and touched the PNC bare vagina. Once she noticed she quickly put on gloves. The PNC feels as it was sexual because of how hard the abuser gripped her private areas. "Father" anally penetrated PNC. There were 4 instances of abuse that all took place in the Prayer room. "Father" threatened to kill PNC if he ever told, but PNC should pray for forgiveness. • Reason for review: Per criteria, Injured party MUST know at least the NAME (nicknames are fine) of their abuser AND be able to recognize a picture of their abuser • Typically, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do not use the term “Father” when addressing church leaders.
