Ryan, as per Debbie, can you give Altonese and I access to Harvest, please and thank you?
https://lookerstudio.google.com/reporting/a6a0f187-1619-478c-b1c9-6412a9e769fd/page/p_vojobl6ytc, Invoices By Month, Debbie can show you how to "filter" them.
Ryan, just following up for Harvest access for @Altonese Neely and I. Please and thank you.
@Brian Thiessen, will do this AM once done my morning routine
@Brian Thiessen, you and @Altonese Neely are in Harvest for BLX now. Let me know if you need a quick tour.
@Brian Thiessen, send me the CC for TIP LawRuler you want to use, I'll setup the AutoPay.
@Altonese Neely, please see email I sent on this, provide Ryan info needed, please and thank you.
Good morning, may I get this information for UniCourt (our new court records data partner for SL w/ Cam's prior approval), the ACH:
@Brian Thiessen, can you send that to me please. Need to update ASAP.
Altonese sent you an email Friday with that info. Here it is.
Just to confirm, this is for Brandlytics? I saw an invoice where Shield Legal was listed as the company, just want to make sure we provide the correct info.
@Brian Thiessen, need this for Shield Legal, it's a tech partner for providing aggregated USA court case data.
Can you send that to me ASAP so I can get their system updated. It's a charge for $27K for annual API license for 10K API calls per month
This is for Shield Legal, this is for the technology provider that has put all of the United States coordinate into a single data source

@Brian Thiessen, for using SL Copper to record payments! https://www.loom.com/share/b022e5ece81545bfa203571fbc6ab304
If you get stuck, as questions in #shieldorderscopper please
@Brian Thiessen, ping me and @Mark Maniora in the #C01568FJUTU channel when you send out an invoice so Mark can get Cameron's orders into Copper for him. 😎
Brian, are you continuing to put payments into Copper for SL? I am working on the Orders Dashboard to show payments and media spend (from those payments) in a dashboard next week.
Actually Ryan, I don't believe I have access to log in yet. If you sent me something for that I haven't seen it. And Altonese didn't share her login info before she left.
Yipes, search your inbox, I sent it to your @shield-legal.com email
Please let me know how many payments you have to add from April 16th and watch this video to remind yourself how to add them.
Can you get all payments added up to date by end of Tuesday next week or sooner?
Ya, sorry. I've been playing catch up on Altonese things, but will work to get up to date in Copper by Tuesday. If sooner, I'll let you know. Either way I'll let you know when all is in.
Hey Ryan, I'm trying to get caught up on TIP invoicing and I'm working on 4/8-4/14 for Ben Crump. Based on Altonese's notes I'm using the TIP dashboard and for the week in question, there's no talk time, nor for the following 2 weeks. The previous weeks there are, so I'm wondering how do I know how much talk time to charge for each?
@Brian Thiessen, this is just for BLX source for Ben Crump weekly invoicing correct?
@Brian Thiessen, I got Luke and Dennis to validate, standby for 4.08 and forward to get updated. Luke will ping you when its done.
How are the Copper Payments coming?
Unless I'm looking at it wrong, the invoices sent, none of those have been paid yet. And the Video Gaming Addiction invoice to Meadow Law Firm, I have no idea what that is, never sent an invoice for that one.
As for payments since April 16, we've received:
@Brian Thiessen, can you put those payments into Copper?
*Thread Reply:* @Brian Thiessen, also, need these payments in plus all others ASAP, I have to finish the new dashboard ASAP.
*Thread Reply:* I only see 4 invoices sent in the pipeline, and payments haven't been received for these yet. Again, the Meadow Law Firm, I have no idea who sent that invoice, it wasn't me.
*Thread Reply:* Post in your invoicing channel, and ask Andy to confirm so we can get it into copper
@Brian Thiessen, for closing TIP & SL EOM, don't worry about getting that TIP Case Type / Intake Pricing Sheet portion done, I'll just need to know what the TIP Revenue "should be in April 2024" to have TIP at Breakeven from the Expenses for Shield at TIP.
So expecting you to say:
• Current April Revenue in Tip Dash from Shield Legal (from the Invoices x Month): $552,987.35 • Actual April Total Expense for TIP: ######.## <--- send this to me first, so I can update Dash, so that Profit x Month "negative" will reflect your actual @Brian Thiessen , the 1st number I need. • Required April Revenue in Tip Dash from Shield Legal for Breakeven: XXXXXXX.XX <-- the 2nd number I need from you @Brian Thiessen
Then I can adjust the $122 e-sign revs to break it even.
*Thread Reply:* @Brian Thiessen, how is the closing of April month coming? Partners want to have the month closed by the 10th.
*Thread Reply:* I'm doing the best I can, can't promise the 10th. When you say partners, Cam and Marc?
*Thread Reply:* 10th was Marc, but Cameron pays the SL Media Buyers commissions on the 15th, so that is really when we must have it closed becuase the Call Center costs from TIP are factored into their commission formula.
*Thread Reply:* Al and I have talked with Marc about closing, but I get what you're saying for the commissions and such. I'll have the final expenses number before Friday, so as far as closing, that shouldn't be an issue. I got the allocations entered this morning, will go through everything and hopefully have the expenses number to you by tomorrow, at the latest.
@Ryan, TIP expenses for April are $1,276,026.87
I don't recall that being asked before. 🙂 Let me dig into those numbers, see what I can find. Give me a bit.
Ty, I'll play with that 1.276M in the dash, see what the shortfall is for Shield business and we can figure this new formula out.
Yes, sorry for the delay. My reminder I set up for Wednesday didn't remind me so the ACH was processed this morning.
@Brian Thiessen, Britt will help on this part. See below:
@Brian Thiessen, can you send me the 2023 BLX PnL and the 2024 YTD by Month tomorrow, please? Ty.
@Ryan, can you send me the links to the commission meetings this morning, I only have the one for Caleb. Since you're running them, I'm asking you. 🙂 Also, I've charged Ben's card for the Dishowitz invoice, will update in Harvest once I see the money in the bank. Actually, will confirm the charge was processed, that should be sufficient. Should be able to update today then.
Or pull up my calendar and you can see them in my calendar and join.
@Brian Thiessen, join me, got quick question on Staffing Rev sheets:

How much does Julie, Adrienne, Latoyamake currently @Brian Thiessen ?
I think:
Julie at $54k Adrienne at $80k Latoya at $90k Korbin at $70k Lee at $60k,
correct?
Need this ASAP for @Cameron Rentch (he won’t see this )
Julie, don't see her on the payroll report, last name?
She's not on the most recent payroll report Nsay sends, for the May 10 payroll.
She's on Shield's payroll, I've asked Al for that number.
Confirming you did get Dishowitz Credit Card and got his $10K payment, I see it charged and billed on 17th, sorry if I missed your post.
@Brian Thiessen. Good morning. Please send me Shield Legal FEIN tax id ASAP. Ty.
Format: Segment 1 (Case Type) - Segment 2 (Litigating Firm) - Segment 3 (Marketing Firms) - Segment 4 (TIP Billing Source)
Hey Ryan, just putting together the allocations for the weekly credit card reports and wanted to ask you about any allocations for the charges to your card. I'm especially interested in whether we want to allocate the cost of your stay at Fontainebleu, should that all be Brandlytics? I'm thinking we can allocate at least some of that to TIP/Shield? I'll attach the report, maybe you can suggest allocations for some of the other charges. Thanks.
Brian, correct. I spend actually about 40% Shield, 40% TIP and 20% Brandlytics.
And I really appreciate that. I used to have head count allocations between all three with Cameron and Silvia because it does not stay linear per company for a lot of people.
Got it. Should I apply that logic to any charge on your card, or just the travel/meals?
That is usually my spread on LV trips but I'm glad to always send that.
From Tuesday to Sunday, apply that to all logic on the card please. I was there mainly doing revenue analyses for SL and TIP, did some development for TIP and SL.
Try the login and send LR access code email to ryan@tortintakeprofessionals.com now, I'll reply back with it.
Thanks. There are 5 unpaid invoices but when I download them they show paid on the invoice. I'll reach out to Gretchen to confirm which invoices are unpaid.
Never mind, found them. I will send to you to look over and approve.
@Brian Thiessen, approved. These are mostly user license charges.
Ryan, please send the one time password for Law Ruler when you receive. Thanks
@Brian Thiessen, please reply into my email to Jeff Markowicz with the invoice and request for payment today please. Thank you.
Hello, Your invoice summary is below. Invoice ID: 158 Issue date: 06/07/2024 Client: Law Offices of Jeffrey Markowicz P.O. number: Amount: $3,200.00 Due: 06/07/2024 (upon receipt)
@Brian Thiessen, did you run Dish CC for July & August yet? Please confirm both 158 invoice and CC run.
Sorry, forgot to ask about the message you sent about Andy's commissions. We're to pay the amount, yes? I can have Nsay add to the next payroll.
@Brian Thiessen, I'm about ready with Marc and Cameron's Shield Order Dashboard where all payments for all shield orders should have been added to Copper. I see you have not kept up with payments. This will look really bad to Cameron and Marc, how do you want to get caught up?
May I suggest you export all payments logged from the accounting software and have Malissa work with Greg Owen to ensure the payments are mapped to the correct opportunity and put one large payment in for all payments per order?
This has to be done by the end of next week, July 15th. I have to deliver this but wanted to give you time to resolve. Call my cell if you have questions.
*Thread Reply:* Glad to meet with you, Melissa and Greg to discuss.
There were a couple of Lawrence Jones that I recorded the payments on. There's also a Bowersox one, NJ Juv Hall Abuse, for $150K. We sent an invoice, and received payment, for $130K, so that one hasn't been updated. I think a meeting with Greg and Malissa would be an excellent idea, yes.
Ok, come prepared to supply them with all payments so they can validate.
Hey Ryan, Al and I were talking with Tony earlier and he mentioned something about talk time minutes when it comes to the Call Center and billing Shield in the past. He says it was stopped, wasn't sure why and such. Is this something you can educate me on? Thanks
No, I didn’t myself on Monday and teaching Aidan on Brittany’s team to take it over from Luke.
Ryan, started the new billing format for Bailey Glasser with the March billing.
March 217 completed long form interviews @ $310/interview, total billed $67,270
April, 247 completed long form interviews @ $300/interview, total billed $74,100
May, 172 completed long form interviews @ $425/interview, total billed $73,100
Going forward, I won't share the BG payroll numbers, will just let you know the completed long form interviews and amount billed.
join me early in CPs, let me show you this update
When will you have updates to this sheet ready this week? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LrGlUb3fCB9LknQSbUBPSNAwAKSqpMxOeW4LntqLDlA/edit?gid=631439208#gid=631439208
Want to setup time to review the hard costs breakdowns with you and Tony.
I'm hoping by tomorrow.
Got a quick quesiton on this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/141X3FR7-gX-IplS14qSk2FDRr_YIDV6ZYdHhQeKFW-k/edit?gid=1999675662#gid=1999675662
Do you have a few minutes? I'll email you the July P&L and you can let me know what you don't need, if you have questions.
Sorry, got distracted, car fire on the highway outside my window. Updated now.
Also, funny you mentioned Brandlytics merged with Shield, Nsay just mentioned that Brandlytics payroll is no longer, employees now paid by Shield. My question to you is in regards to the ACH I send every pay week, is it going to a different account than your regular pay? We had that come up with Maximus, may not apply to you, but his regular pay is paid to him his personal bank account, his commission/bonus has to be paid to his company, and a separate bank account, in that company's name.
Mine for now is all paid to me, but I should talk to max about his strategy
Shared them with you. Shared ACTS to by mistake, they're not CSP. 🤦♂️
No, ACTS is part of CSP staffing fees, the sheet shows my past work on it
Ryan, can't find the correct thread, but TIP September expenses are $1,200,631.07
Ryan, based on the message you just sent, what are the numbers I am to use to close out the financials so I can send to Marc? Call center expenses are $316K? Does that include all payroll numbers that we've worked on? I need to be sure I "charge" Shield the right amount for the expense and TIP for the right amount for the revenue.
The Invoices by Month Dashboard for you and Malissa is up to date, reconciled and ready for billing based upon the pricing from August and back per Cameron.
I need to know how much revenue to put for each department, ASA, Screening, Intake, Inbound, etc. Unless I'm not looking in the right place, I'm not finding that breakdown. I am looking in the TIP dashboard, want to make sure the revenue in TIP is broken out by department as the payroll numbers are. I've not used the dashboard before to record this info, may need a bit of a tutorial.
in total, all time, how much does BLX owe SL @Brian Thiessen
Have that all together, assumed it was going to come up in the meeting. The total owing to Shield is $872,121.31
Our 11AM meeting is about SL operation expenses. thanks for confirming that number.
@Brian Thiessen, I fixed the old Data Studio PvS but check inbox, you got an invite from Looker Enterprise to join. You have access like this to the one Marc sees:
Use Looker Enterprise version:
Again, this VSS is for Flatirons via ACTS correct? Just make sure.
Nevermind, i recall now. Flatirons VSS goes to Shield's Fi Overhead bucket and non Flatirons VSS is a "per month price update" that Malissa will update in the TIP Pricing App
TIP October expenses are $1,257,107.38
Just sent. This is what you're looking for, right? I was sure I had sent already, apologies Ryan.
@Brian Thiessen , I need the CSP sheets, MRT sheets for October 2024 with the monthly costs. You only sent me VSS for October.
You send me like 5 Google sheets per month, need the same ole sheets
Just shared, let me know if I'm still missing anything.
@Brian Thiessen, what is this range for in the TIP View tab: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bGVJ-Les5139CHkdasCookde0tlDZXN9D3h0bPLQGAc/edit?gid=1448492439#gid=1448492439&range=Y:Y
If yes, that was a one time charge to Crump for an employee that wasn't being charged to them previously.
Got it, billed same time as November bill for October CSPs?
It's been billed, as part of the October (September) payroll invoice.
Great, fixed in TIP Profit x Month / Day dashboard. Added November billilngs for October, doing their Flatirons Overhead. This is correct, combining Flatirons VSS and CSP together, correct?
• Flatirons Overhead: ◦ 10-1-2024 to 10-31-2024 is 690 Flatirons rows, | ▪︎ CSP $181,759.74 ▪︎ VSS $157,262.86
I'd prefer Cam confirm that, just to be safe. Maybe in a thread with him and Malissa?
It's on your Google Sheets, that is me pasting the numbers you have in your "billed for month" columns
Good morning Ryan, just wondering if you have the Call Center expenses for October?
It's all here in dashboard:https://lookerstudio.google.com/reporting/a6a0f187-1619-478c-b1c9-6412a9e769fd/page/p_vojobl6ytc
...Just remember, the Source filter for Shield is easy, select it, and and ensure only e-Signs are billed in the Status filter, for non-Flatirons, you'll need Malissa to confirm with Tony and Alan and Cam which ones are billed...I know she knows much of the ASA, but just to make sure.
Like this, see red boxes. As for non-Shield, the billable statuses are kept https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YWfzT84F7VaTeHFPnf0tkfA9BmepcPB65SwhRKilM/edit?userstoinvite=ryan%40brandlytics.io&sharingaction=manageaccess&role=writer&gid=1929705213#gid=1929705213|here, you, Malissa can confirm with Tony which to bill for October.
The prior months have been revised using the new calculations? Previously, June for instance, $423,000 was the call center expense, now it
is $312,431. Talk Time Fees are $143,555.66 for June, where is this number coming from?
Morning Ryan, was wondering if you could let me know what/where you get the info you use to update the dashboards for Marc to do what he does. According to him the meeting this afternoon is about a side by side of what our real costs are on Yardi compared to datasheet and making sure we are counting everything and not double counting everything. Al would like to prepare himself for the meeting, so anything you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Marc uses the Call Center Costs and the negative from your Yardi sheet on TIP to decide how to "allocate" negative (loss) on TIP side to Shield Legal.
Just a heads up, Al will likely ask during the meeting. Also, there was a charge to your card for Yext, $7,236, what is this?
If Marc wants things to match, the quick & dirty way is to add revenue from "gross revenue" that we are short in TIP Dash as a single row per month in the financial log table for each month. Then we get that Total Expense per month validated, and I can update the TIP Dash in a few days.
So let Al know, easy to fix and in future, you can validate at EOM that we match up on Revenue and Total Expense. Easy peasy.
@Brian Thiessen https://meet.google.com/xwx-jqvx-cyk?authuser=0
I went to sign into the meeting and there's no info, it's just gonna be you and me, can you send a google invite here like you did on Friday, please and thank you?
Hey Ryan, Marc called and based on our conversation and what he wants, I've revised the TIP Call Center Costs sheet. Column H is what the daily operating expense should be for each month. I also calculated what the additional daily operating expense is if you can't change what the operations expense column is already at. Basically, column J shows what the operations expense should be for each month. Let me know if you have questions.
Yes, that is what the daily operating expenses should be for each month.
@Brian Thiessen, updating the db now, give it 15 minutes and check page 55
Ryan, can you please send me the link to the DB, I'm home and it's not on my laptop. Sorry to bother you.
Never mind, found it.
@Brian Thiessen, good morning. The October Call Costs got updated as a result of the drastich change by Depo Provera's change in criteria getting over 60 sign ups out of the October numbers.
Please let me know when Column H is ready with the new October 2024 Expense so we can hopefully "CLOSE" this month. 🙂
Working on it, give me a couple minutes, I'll let you know when I've updated.
Done Ryan. The daily operating expense per day for October should be $30,790.50
Ty, updating dashboard now. Check in 15 minutes on Page 55 please @Brian Thiessen
Page 55 has the wrong Call Costs, Marc wants the Call Costs column, not the Combined Call Costs. Column D on the TIP Call Center Costs sheet should be the amounts in the Call Costs column on page 55.
Added External Call Costs, but everything else on that sheet is "Combined" metrics.
Didn't want to share with too many folks, will this suffice? I haven't had a chance to really dive into what you're asking for, have other projects that need to be completed.
*Thread Reply:* Great, sent to James to construct the SQL for inserting this into the new database table, and Brian H. will work on expsing this in the TIP Ops App for EOM additions by you or Malissa.
@Brian Thiessen, have a VSS question for you. Now that ACTS is billed "per lead" in ASA Post Retainer, then VSS orange Payroll Sheet you send me, I should ONLY use the staff that is labeled Flatirons (see image below with read cell borders) for the Shield covered cost of Flatirons Overhead? Which again, to reiterate is not billed by TIP to Flatirons of course.
@Brian Thiessen, ping me when you get in for a quick Slack Huddle on these, I have to make sure we are doing this right since the Dashboard is using Flatirons Overhead in the financials, and we may be over-accounting it in Dashboard.
Sorry Ryan, yes. Yesterday completely got away from me.

@Brian Thiessen, rename htis Sheet to what ever it should be, forgot MRT ans other staff payroll is here.
Rename this sheet @Brian Thiessen, name it what it is for, I moved our PnL analysis somewhere else.
Updated November and December (carry-forward) with your sheet's 33,557.81 daily operation expense @Brian Thiessen
This is for the last almost month. I know some have already been moved from the Brandlytics card.
Adobe updated, Facebook updates requested to Lee Zafra, and Canva, Grammarly updated by Adrienne and I just did NameCheap.
Great. I will be sharing with Edward and James Turner so they can work on getting a row in, making sure they did it correctly and then training you to put rows into the app too.
