Hi team, Nick M asked me to loop you in regarding the potential creation of new case types specifically for clients associated with DeMayo, as this impacts our financial reporting. Last Friday, Dave from Flatirons provided me with a list of DeMayo clients for Paraquat and Hair Relaxer. I was able to identify these clients and will post that .xlsx report shortly. To handle the Flatirons financials correctly, these leads would need to be moved from their current Law Ruler case types into newly created ones (e.g., "Paraquat – DeMayo – Shield Legal" or "Hair Relaxer – DeMayo – Shield Legal"). Additionally, as some original case types involve different partnerships (like Ben Crump Law), it might make sense to create four distinct case typesβ€”two involving BCL and two without BCL (as Nick M suggested). The attached report includes a column titled "Do We Have An Intake For This Client?": β€’ "Yes" means we created and conducted the intake. β€’ "No" means we did not create the intake, as it was provided by the firm, and our role is limited to secondary services or follow-up milestones.

Please let me know if this makes sense. Ideally, we'd want these new case types set up by Monday, if possible, so they can be included in my next weekly Flatirons financial report. If the new case types won't be ready by Monday but will be implemented in Law Ruler soon, I can temporarily hard-code these adjustments into my upcoming report. Moving forward, this manual step won't be necessary once the new case types are in place. I’m also available to pop by and explain this in greater detail if that helps!

Adding in others into this chat since it will involve the creation of a few case types and moving some leads around so I want to ensure everyone is on the same page to ensure everything goes smoothly for this request from Flatirons

Mark Maniora (markmaniora@shield-legal.com)
2025-06-05 16:26:07

ok. So this is just for financial tracking? or do leads need to post to LawRuler? @deleted-U06C7A8PVLJ @Nicholas McFadden

Mark Maniora (markmaniora@shield-legal.com)

@Mark Maniora Yes this is for financial tracking. We would be moving leads from a case type into these "newly created" case types that are DeMayo only

Sure, what are the names of the case types

deleted-U06C7A8PVLJ
2025-06-05 16:31:17

In the .csv, I have a column called LRCaseType, and it appears that some of these clients are listed under secondary cases (which means we'll need to create new leads for them since the Flatirons Benchmark Cameron and Dave sees are for intakes only). Additionally, some of those law ruler leads involve BLX/Crump, while others involve Dicello by themselves. @Nicholas McFadden suggested it might be beneficial to separate these case types based on firm/counsel to simplify the financial reporting that @Zekarias Haile, @Ryan, and I handle in the database. This is just a suggestion, thoughβ€”we can discuss and structure it in whichever way makes the most sense for everyone.

*Thread Reply:* So after talking with @Mark Maniora, it should simply just be a clone of the case types to the left column and to the right column is what they should be called. (Same thing as what Mark posted but I am including the original case types to it)

On the BigQuery table I added all the DeMayo clients on there (Called AllDeMayoClients) and I included the OLD and NEW case type names for these leads as well. I am going to leave the 8 clients who doesn't have an intake as null / blank til we actually create those intake profiles but otherwise I have it tracked into our database. Posting for reference purposes. #HappyCincoDeMayo
