Hello! When the addresses were updated yesterday, the wrong addresses were input for clients. I think we need to have a larger discussion about validating the data and making sure it is good before importing things and making changes. The agents who are working on follow up calls have been calling at the wrong times based on the wrong time zones, which has upset clients and can put us at risk of violating TCPA guidelines if we call outside of hours. It is also going to affect the data we are sending to the firm and any mail outreach to clients. I was provided one example client and I was told there are more. https://tortintakeprofessionals.lawruler.com/update-lead.aspx?lead=757257 https://tortintakeprofessionals.lawruler.com/update-lead.aspx?lead=778056 This client's address in the contact card (what you updated with the import) is in NY, but the address we collected and confirmed with the client in the form is in Louisiana.

@deleted-U04GZ79CPNG Here should be the corrected file. I spot checked 10 random ones with the DB and everything looks good. Can you run the import on this?

I grabbed a copy of the addresses from the DB. only less than 500 of the affected have updated since sunday therefore this is a backup of most of the addresses from before the import yesterday

I was thinking about it and I don't really want my name on the import if I don't verify that it's accurate. I can show you how to use the import wizard if you would like to import it. Good to hear that it seems to only be a small percentage. Did you diagnose what happened with yesterday's file that causes the issue to ensure it doesn't propagate?

Will need to talk to @Chris Krecicki about how he built it weeks ago. Its only a small percentage that we do not have a backup of.

Hello everyone.

I am just not entirely sure how such a small batch got messed up.

It was matching contactid and leadid the same for all of them

if I remember correctly .. i learned we couldnt use the contactid and i needed to use the leadid. So I made this. I am not sure why a small subset had issues though when overall out of the 90,000 it was OK.

replace_contactid_with_leadid.py • Matches contactids from contact_address_standardized_**.csv with lead.csv • Creates a new column lead_id alongside the original contactid • Output: contact_address_with_leadid_TIMESTAMP.csv

@deleted-U04GZ79CPNG again I really really am sorry for the hiccup, i should have caught it, it was a very weird bug with the data shift

Luckily, it was identified quickly. We need to make sure that none of the incorrect addresses got sent in any automations or integrations. I am not really sure the best way of going about that

Dustin Surwill (dsurwill@shield-legal.com)

The db shows 646 leads with the effected contactids that have had a change since the import on 8/18. We can filter by status updates then filter the status it changed to by ones that have automations

I suggest we make sure the correct import that is fixing the problem is complete first so we do not have to do it multiple times
