I don't think its viral , this is what happens when I don't listen to my body and feel my left ear being annoying and then it heads to my chest if I don't catch it in time, I am prone to ear infections unfortunately. Even if they give me a steroid for the chest , antibiotics would be even better with the steroids
so top the day off yesterday, my belt buckle broke, then while i was the urgent care I find out that Anthem messed up and deactivated my name as a member by accident, so the good thing is that Shellie got it fixed and Anthem system shows me active again, but now I have to wait until I get the bill from urgent care so I can submit that to the insurance company along with my prescription bill LOL 🤣

I am doing ok, definitely not as bad as yesterday, I just wish all this drainage in my sinuses would clear up, my nose is getting raw ugh, but at the least wheezing in my chest sounds like its clearing up or cleared up, so that means the antibiotics is working.
I am hoping by tonight when I take my third dose of meds it will start clear up even more

I am much better than yesterday for sure, I took a Zyrtec last night to help dry up my sinuses and so that has helped with that part and helping the antibiotics work better I think.

So if there are 4 potential landing pages with a lead you're looking for but can't find in leadspedia, you can check the back end gravity forms entries as well.
If they're coming from Mark's pages, I'd ask him to check the entries to see if that lead went through.

Its good, I passed the performance assessment for the class that I got my certification in, so that class is fully done, and my current class which is right before pentest+ I got through all 9 lessons last night so now all I have to do is the performance assessment for that class and turn it in this week so hopefully my program mentor will move my pentest+ class up so I can get that done before the end of april

@LaToya i want to be able to respond back to the simpledesk email ticket request via email instead of logging in but I want the response to be posted in the simpledesk ticket system mod, does the following php script that I created seem fully sound to you to be able to do this. I am providing you the .txt version of it though just in case slack doesn't covert the .php file correctly.
This looks like a great start! Have you tested this to see how it works? Do you have a dev environment to test this in?
I have not tested it yet, but if need be I can remove the file off the server once I add it
I'd be careful where this is stored because of the email and password creds. You can store those outside of the in a config file outside of the root folder or root location and use variables to call them so they're not accessible directly in the script.

Yes! That would be more secure. Also, you may want to mark your email as see after you know it's been inserted and processed successfully in your database. Use an if/then/else conditional just to be sure that if there's ever an error within the process it's not being marked as seen before it's been processed if that makes sense.
if email results example { mark email as read only after it has been successfully processed } else { error... failed to insert into SimpleDesk... }
if that makes any sense. It seems like your email will go through regardless unless that's what you're wanting.

I think this maybe the only route because nothing is working but Joe is like he is not sure if he wants to use a webhook from google to the board but I honestly think it will be the only way, but unless you think we are using the wrong email for the getenv function, because any time I post a new ticket from the board it sends an email notification from board@fccsf.net to our individual company gmail accounts when there is a new ticket and the .env file has helpdesk@fccsf.net
You want it to send from helpdesk@fccsf.net and not the board email?
the email board@fccsf.net is the default email for the whole board but even when I do a reply back email to that it does nothing as well but do you think its because the helpdesk one is being used in the .env file and the board email is the forum default and not the helpdesk one as the default email
That's a possibility. I wonder if that is something you can update so that you can have the email address that you want to use. I feel like it would depend what you can and can't modify. I wonder if that is modifiable. Have you reached out to helpdesk to see if that's an option?

@LaToya so this what one of the support specialist said about what I am trying to do with the helpdesk : You need to add scripts to be able to read a mailbox, then process and clean that content in a protected manner and then import the message as a post in the helpdesk, You would likely not add ANYTHING into existing files.... You would have to write new scripts to do the processing, and then call existing SMF/SD functions to create the ticket and hooks to trigger the events

it's allot more complicated than that, I would have to write new scripts in general this could be .js, .php and not sure what else, so I asked on there if they could help out with this since they know more about their back end coding and all than I do, its so much extra stuff that its like starting from scratch

But if I can pass the exam and do the performance assessment for the PenTest class way before April 30th and my Program Mentor feels I can finish that class by April 30th then she will move the next one up

so update, I explained to Joe the roadblock I come too thus far and I explained to him that I reached out the developers of this mod to see how they can help, but for now his solution is maybe we use zapier since it can read and direct and parse information out of emails to other places but I think that is funny because remember when I suggested using webhooks and he was very like maybe not but zapier uses webhooks LOL 🤣

I just did a test with a cron.php job and when an email reply is sent back a new reply ticket is created.

so now I went from being a cyber security person to initially setting up a website and now trying to do software development which software development is definitely not my expertise at all. I think that is why when I mentioned something before he was telling me to reach out to developers and or use zapier in the meantime

its funny how we were discussing the other day how this is now software development over web development and when I messaged my friend that owns that Magazine company out here last night to ask him if he himself knew anything about software development or if he knew someone and he said he did a little bit in software development and when I shared the sites I was talking about this is how it showed on Facebook messenger , which I think is funny because it says software development:

and most software developers wouldn't have time to sift through this code to even try to help me out with my roadblock, just like one of the students at the school I am going to said to me: I can troubleshoot specific code but I don't have time available to dig through a zip file of an application. and this even what the initial developers of this software said to me a couple weeks ago as well.
Sorry for the delayed response. I was tied up getting a presentation made for Andy. But yes that is true. It takes a good amount of time to go through code, whether it's from a website or software. I highly doubt you told him you could if you know it wasn't something you do. I'd let Joe know.

I discovered a new feature this weekend with one of the apps on my iPhone, I found out that you can lock the note pad app to where you can only open it with facial recognition and then you can lock a specific note in there the same way.
Oh that's a pretty cool feature. Locking notes. I use mine a lot.. well not apple note but samsung notes. You can keep them secure.

so you will think this is bizarre, last night I was at home working a little bit on this project on my work laptop while I was doing some school stuff and awhile back now I did the whole screening thing with Fountaineblu's HR chatbot thing it uses for the IT Product Director position and never got an email or text saying go ahead and fill out the application now, and this has been at least a couple months since I did that, well out of nowhere I get this text message from the HR chatbot thing called Morris to fill out the application saying they are excited to move me forward in the their process and to go and fill out the online application now
It seems as if they're starting to get back to you now that the year is really starting. I wonder if it was just end of year slow season for the companies when it came to hiring. I mean I believe that's pretty common but are you going to move forward with the application?
also I reached out to one of my professors from SNHU about this project and I filled him in with some general information and he is going to forward my information onto some Adjunct professor colleagues he works with at SNHU that I am guessing does software development and to see they can help with my questions
update: one of the adjunct professors for the computer science department at SNHU sent me an email stating when I have 10 minutes to discuss this , he will make the time for me, so emailed back asking for the best times to call him and letting him know I live in the pacific time zone

So I just made another step in the right direction, I am able to now by making a hook into one of the main files to grab the ticket number once it is posted and put with the original senders email into the json file I have before today I wasn't able to do it that way, I had to have part of my scripts to use a ticket counter and I had to update the file each time then run it based on the previous ticket number
not yet, I am going to call him after I get off work today
I made some break throughs so far I have got everything going back and forth , email to create ticket, reply back to email and replying back to that and posting correctly and also I fixed the December 31, 1969 part as well when the ticket is created. and I talked to the professor last night and he gave me some ideas and sound great, so I am going to try them this morning as well now.

it was good, so when I ran a mock version of three files through the compiler , the two separate and the combined mock versions , they all passed, so now I am thinking it has to do with possible throttling the server to much and a few other things that I am adding on to the originals to enhance them and I am testing them out as we speak

Also chatGPT said agreed with me that how I was doing it before could have been seen as a possible brute-force attack on the server, possibly moving messages to spam, temporarily block the IMAP login, some other things like mail bomb/spam campaign, the anit-spam algorithms altering subjects/headers as well possibly.
I can definitely say having the compiler to run mock versions is nice because then it helps to troubleshoot more knowing that the actual script isn't necessarily the full issue since it runs fine in the mock version

not sure exactly yet, so I have added more search options, and a throttling controller into it,
meaning to control the throttling of the server, delay timers so that the server doesn't think it is being brute-forced attacked
its the same idea when the integrations team or anyone does to many API's at once and law rulers server can't handle the overload of data in a such short period of time.

@LaToya So when I get back from lunch, I want to see if I can figure out one other thing but as of right now, it’s pretty much ready to deploy, I still had to do two separate files because the second process is running a second time for the third process can run in the whole combined file, so two of the three processes are in one file and the third process is in another file. I even figured out the .env issue from before , even though I don’t know exactly where he put that file, I created a new one and it was because I had a function in it that was trying to mimic what was already in the files.

So I told Joe the files are ready and that the cron jobs needs to have a stagger time between them, I said one every 5 minutes and the other every 3 minutes so that they don't interfere with each other, he said aren't you able to run 1 file and said that we need to keep in mind the total timing, from time to send, receiving, process and view/respond and said if we are adding 5-10 minutes to the process that might be negative on the efficiency of things. I told him I tried to full combine everything into one file but the processes of each thing were interfering with each other, I sad the timing between each file just needs to be staggered a little bit, I said it doesn't have to be that long for the cron jobs. I said the cron jobs just need to have some type of timing schedule. I am not sure if he knows that cron jobs don't work without timing schedules even if they are one file

maybe if I was a software developer or engineer I could do all that with looping and all and ensure that it works but I am not a software developer or engineer. And also he emailed yesterday stating that going forward that I can't have overtime unless it is directed by him or ownership and needs to be approved, I am guessing because I have 29 hours of OT total the last weeks. and he also said that he told me "You shouldn't be staying longer/after hours to work on this part of the project" and he said i seemed to understand/agree. the only thing I remember him saying was make sure you get out of here on time. but if I didn't stay like I did, I would be at this even longer and I felt like he was wanting this like 2 weeks ago. I am so frustrated at this point. So he asked me to email him the files or give him the location of the files, so I emailed him the files with the path locations as well.

So I finished the 2nd attempt study plan that my Course Instructor sent me via email, now I am just waiting for the assessments department to make the request approval button available again so I can submit that for my course instructor to approve my 2nd attempt voucher which he said he will once I do that step. I emailed the assessments department to see how long it takes for that button to show back up again on my course study, I just want to get this scheduled while all this information is still fresh in my head, and I spent several hours on saturday and sunday going through the material again on the Jason Dion training udemy course and on both of his practice exams I got a 96% one and a 97% on the other which both of those were second attempts on those practice exams, prior to me taking my actual exam I got an 82% on one of those and the other I got a 86% on the other the first attempt. as of right now as long as I keep studying I am starting to feel more prepared this time around than I did the first time around.
I don't blame you wanting to take is sooner rather than later. That's a really good difference in your practice exams. Hopefully they can give you an answer quick or it becomes available as soon as possible so you can retake your exam.
Well i just submitted the request approval to my course instructor, so now I just got wait for him to go in and approve it and then once that is done I should be able to request a new voucher so I can schedule my retake. But like I was telling Andre, I feel little bit more confident today about taking it than I did on Saturday. I think its because I am starting to retain the information more and its making more sense but I am going to keep studying each day until my exam retake, I think also I didn't studying as hard the first time around either like I did with my CySA+ exam, so now I feel like I am doing that now with this time around.

I am not sure if you know what a bind shell or reverse shell script are but those things trip me up a little bit because I have think about which part of the script in one or the other is put on the target computer and the attacker computer
I wasn't sure because those are used for PenTest than anything else but I know sometimes IT related courses will bring in certain things to relate to others, it did in my cyber security courses in my undergrad.
I didn't learn about it. Even when I took the cyber security 5 week course, they never mentioned it in the pen test section. I guess if I were to have gone deeper into it and signed up, that 10 month program would have possibly covered it

Well hopefully the following is a good sign that I am retaining this information now because yesterday LR was having issues in getting the reports to the departments and of course they always say its not their fault and said it was probably because a custom report layout had over 2500 fields in it and said that was freezing things up in the que but what is funny thing is that custom report has been used for a long time before yesterday and it was fine. so I told brittany if they had better load balancers on their servers that would help as well but that's even they do have that , it sounds like they don't have LOL🤣
the load balancer piece is from my PenTest+ learning because as a pen tester you have to know if the company has a load balancer connected to their network or not because that can divert what you are trying to do via script wise because these distribute traffic across multiple servers making it harder to target those servers
ahhh so this would definitely be an LR issue then!
I feel like LR has been the issue for a while! But they don't like taking accountability for their mess ups
so I haven't heard anything on if the script is going to be deployed or if he got a software developer to try to figure out my snag of one script instead of two separate scripts.

I forgot to tell you that I decided to finally clear off my treadmill at home yesterday and I made myself get on it for like 30 minutes and it was little bit of a struggle to get through the 30 minutes but today I feel so much more energy than I did yesterday but I am going to continue to do this either right before I study after work or after I study

@LaToya so I don't want to jinx myself but as of right now and I have done a few test runs, I have a fully functional combined script that does everything the standalone scripts did and this includes ensuring the date/time is updated on the site when the user reply is posted on the site as well.

@LaToya Well I just accomplished two steps from doing one manipulation part of one the main sites scripts. granted I don't want to jinx anything but the started by part is now correct to where its the original sender name, the updated by part is now correct to where it is the IT staff person signed into the site and when the user replies back to the IT staff that goes into the Tickets awaiting staff response section as well now, and the awaiting user response is when the IT staff is waiting for a reply back from the original sender.

So now I only have 5 classes left to take, but I have to wait until May 1st now to take my next class because its so close to the end of this 6month term which ends on April 30th, I told my Program Mentor I didn't want to chance taking another class and have to rush through it and then take a course exam in the amount time I have left for this 6 month term. She agreed, so I just got to do the welcome video next for my next class and the course learning tool the following week so that I don't get flagged for not being active until the next term starts. but it gives me time now to start studying for my next certification I want to take which is the CompTIA SecurityX but I have time because the class that the material this is related too isn't until the class after next but even then I don't need to do the certification exam to pass the class but there is a course exam. then once i pass that I get the optional voucher for the actual certification which is good for a year so just that I can still take it if I want too.

the CompTIA SecurityX cert used to be the CASP+ but I was told the reason why they don't require you to pass the cert in order to pass the class it relates too is because they were having way to many students failing it, so they made the voucher optional, which means once you take the class and pass the WGU's course exam for the class they will email you the voucher so that if you want to still take the cert exam you can do so without having to pay for it.
AHHHHH that makes sense. Damn that exam is that hard? 😞 It makes sense a lot of those exams are tough. I remember my instructor for the cybersecurity bootcamp mentioned the exams being pretty tough.
I started to watch the Jason Dion Training videos for it on Udemy and they say on there that you should already your CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+ and CompTIA PenTest+ prior to taking this cert exam and I currently have two of those three.

I would really like to know who is doing the analysis on the scaling of the company because whoever it is or was before we moved to this office clearly was not thinking, based on how much growth we had in the first 3 years of being around and what we are currently doing in the last year. LOL 🤣
I think it was a last minute move on them since the Gov has the other building and we had to be out by a certain day. I think this building was always meant to be temporary. But we definitely need a way bigger building for growth for sure.
All I know is that if we continue on this protectory we will need to move way before the beginning of next year for sure
@LaToya so kinda of a dumb question, you know when your boss is in the office majority of the time right, I only ask this because henry practically asks me everyday if Tim is in his office for the day, and I am thinking to myself, shouldn't you know if your own boss is in the office LOL
I do. Adrienne and I will connect with David since he's with him all the time. We used to know it when we were managing his schedule for conferences but David does that now. But we still know it. Henry should know his boss's schedule.
I just think it is funny, I am supposed to know when someone else's boss is in the office , I mean there is things such as slack and text messaging LOL 🤣

so while I was on break, I checked my LinkedIn page and I had a direct message from a recruiter asking if I was interested in a position with their company, the position is for an Identity Access Management Lead position
and of course I responded back letting her know that I was interested in learning more about the position

@LaToya so I am now fully in the IT office now, I am fully transitioning over into IT and everything they do on a daily basis. I bet someone has been watching my LinkedIn page. I know that back in the old office when I my meeting with Cameron, Shellie, Brittany, Tony with all the moves and changes that I was supposed to eventually fully transition over but I was getting to wonder when that was supposed to be.

So I finally through to CompTIA help support so they could merge my school account and personal account into one, so now I have my three stackable certs with CompTIA as well
its going , I took my exam for it and didn't pass this time around, but what stinks is that I almost did pass by probably needing like 2 or 3 questions correct. As you can see in these screenshots of the coaching report
