Hey Aidan, qq. Have you been able to get pg admin to connect yet?
I am having a bit of an issue connecting, mind if I pop over to your desk to see how you connected it?
that's how Ryan gave me the login info, so the big long scribbled out thing was the password, but you only have to fill out: Host name/address - which is the long hyperlink lookin thing Port is port and maintenance database is tip_master username is dbmasteruser
I THINK that's how they're supposed to be logged in
Do you know where Brittany Barnett sits? I sit like near Nick McFadden, but in the corner opposite of the white board
https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/5170-Badura-Ave-Las-Vegas-NV/33111465/
So EVEN IF my script was running overnight, I should be fine, right?
I can't remember if I ran the script that finished this morning when I came in this morning, or if I ran it prior to leaving yesterday and it ran overnight?
de[ends on the amount of data but I think you should be fine. if LR breaks from a simple pull like this their system is trash and you are being scapegoated imo
nothing, I'm just having to put together a list of what I did this week and what scripts I ran and I can't remember if I ran the script for all these leads today, or if I started it yesterday prior to leaving so that it'd run outside of business hours.
but yeah, the thing is that I 100% feel like I'm being scapegoated cuz too many things don't make sense and aren't matching up. so when making this list of what endpoints, scripts, etc that I ran throughout the week I want to put all this info in there
Hmmm yes that sounds weird. Be careful. It would not surprise me if they want to pin this on someone and not put it back on L:R
yeah, I'm trying to write all the inconsistencies in the 'what scripts did I run' document I'm putting together
can you run me through how you're planning on doing the bigquery tables when you get a chance? like are you planning on making different tables for each campaign/casetype?
if he causes trouble for me for giving you access i'm slashing his tires
yeah which makes no sense, stopping you from doing your job so that he can take the credit lol
Yea I just keep my head down and survive, tenure and title help when trying to find a new place
yeah, but they changed it to "Account Data Specialist" lol which is kind of in-line with what they want to pay me
shelly said the title determines the pay from the national title database or some shit
She used the dunbar db? yea they shafted you hard. That DB is always a few years behind with market titles and pay
yeah, well thats our HR department lol just useless through and through
i can't wait to get out of here, but i want to learn more before I look for another job or else I can't fake it till i make it lol i need more knowledge about db administration and other things first, so i'm just biding my time and taking courses till then
If you like the GCP stack, look into google certs for admin. Admin make 100k+
i kinda hate the gcp stack honestly, i'm more well-versed in the microsoft stuff, which is why i'm trying to just gather knowledge about this shit while im here to add it to resume and stuff
It translate well enough. Both stacks are fairly disjointed so same miseries for the most part.
Darryl pulled through and got us the all leads piped into DLs system. They create a record for a single doc or source. So a lead can have 5 records. We will need to maybe reconcile this first and then compare to our own DB. Darryl says he gave this hit to Dustin already so we can check against Dustins count to make sure we are not too far off base.
Just in case, all the columns we need are: Account Name Case type Email Mailing St DOB Phone Email LawRuler Lead DL Case ID
@Ahsan the medical records update excel sheet you shared is blank
i literally forgot everything you told me except for subqueries being bad for readability
what did you say again? the goal is to get the lead id of the intake and the lead id of the secondary on the same table, but I can't figure out how to do that without making like a whole view specifically for intakes, and one specifically for secondaries
I would write the write like this :
contact id, casetype name, case type num, pii.....
from table xxxx
you may need to do a left join so join a is the table with contact id and either case type number or case name
oh I was able to do it, I didn't know I could re-join the same table again with a different alias and use it to get the secondaries that way
or making it as a cte to rejoin on, self join would be more for a subquery
so dustins code isn't pulling everything into bigquery like it should
there's something that's in bigquery as Signed e-Sign IN PROCESS and in LawRuler it hasn't been in IN PROCESS status since the 7th
hmmm that is weird. I dont have access to the code that does the dump to BQ. But maybe raise the issue in #C087F02FKRU and tag him with Brittney. This gets people actually using the channel and gets visibility its not reporting
@Ahsan who would I reach out to in order to hard code more of these flatirons matches? you or dustin?
Be at the office by 11, been battling the morning
i got the job description for the business intelligence analyst job
so this is the job description but i thought cam didn't like analyst? lol that's confusing
When they hired for engineering they called the role as a senior engineer, No one got the senior title
It may just be a fake out. James was suppose to get a title change when he moved to the tip side, they did not change his title and essentially shafted him
ahhhh gotcha, gotcha yeah they might just be giving it to the recruiter like that and then giving them a different title once they're in there, which is fucked
I know you were the one that was going to be this position, did they ever share with you what the pay range would be?
No I wasnt to be in the role but just do it in the interim, probably low 30 - 40 on the high end
Check Corey website. The flatirons ba job was posted there with a range of 110-130
what was the program you were saying at UNLV that's 10 months? what's it called again?
https://continuingeducation.unlv.edu/business-analytics
@Ahsan so it's missing the Valifornia Juvenile Hall Abuse tab in the new medical record tracker
Ahh I see, also noticed NJ juv did not have week numbers. I will mkae the NJ fix and check the ca juv stuff and re run the report.
yea it was an issue for the financials template. Everything is good now.
what's the name of the 'Title Database' thing that we were talking about before with Shellie and the titles?
naics table
i saw him over near Alicia's old desk on the phone talking about stuff earlier
yea but I think the call was for other stuff. Told them I am likely moving to cali so I could casually wfh and or burn pto to push my employment dates into march. Also gave them the option to stay on as a contractor
pretty much put it on cam to make a decision and he is usually slow, going to casually mention to start bringing you/esteban/edward in for FL stuff incase cam says no. This should be alot of back and forth for like a month maybe
This also lets them see how you guys would fit in the cave so they dont have to do an outside hires/ lose tribal knowledge on this shit
with david quitting friday, jackson likely will go back to sobo, 2 of you guys come to the cave so ward gets happy brittney's team loses head count
the fighting will be over edward but the fl stuff can be a dash board that mcfadden sounds down with so I know I at least can make a hard push for you.
it smells because dustin's diabetes causing him to smell a bit due to the insulation pump, as long as you have 2 feet you dont smell it unless your senses are wolverine like
And well, looks like Iโm going to bring some cologne to spray in Dustinโs no chinned lopsided face
i mean he was the only thing holding the intake side together basically lol
this is our config that does the match for casetype
We have darryl update stuff in dl system and then it appears in the next run I think
so basically, the parents NEC accounts are still being sent in JP's medical records, we need the childrens records to match them to, or we end up with 2-3 duplicates
Hmmm, probably ping darryl in the fl channel and ask him to tell this to JP or have brittney/mcfadden send the email. IDK how JP is pulling the report but I know he is not pulling from salesforce directly
I have a question, didn't brittany put some other cases in the flatirons? I feel like she put Paraquat LegaFi DL Flatirons, Paraquat DL ML, and some other random case type in the benchmark report, right? I'm re-creating the benchmark report with 3 new case types but I feel like she added 3 other cases to it but i forget
I think so, the code splits the benchmark into a meadow, legafi, flatirons
oh gotcha, i found all 3 of them and added them, we're golden now, thank you!
@Ahsan lemme know when you can show me how to run the Flatirons code that edward runs cuz i'll probably have to end up doing it if I get this job since Edward turned down the job
Yea I can show you next week. I will probably call out Monday but for sure Tuesday. It shouldnโt take 10 minutes to give you the walk through
oh ok, actually nevermind, edward did take the job so he's going to be the one doing it
I will still give you the run through so you understand how the code base works especially if you are the one that has to end up updating the config file for hard code matching
Np, I imagine they will split the workload of flatirons eventually on you and Edward.
I mean heโs getting paid more so heโs gonna do more of it lol
Yea but we are slowly automating it. So ideally to only manual input is the hard matching, and validating the financials
yeah, i doubt I'm gonna take it though, how they're describing it is that it's a glorified customer service rep lol and for like 60-70k, which I could get easily in this dept where I'm at
If they give the title itโs worth it but otherwise not so much.
yeah, they said the title would be something like Case Audit Analyst or some shit
but I mean, i'll just aim for integrations next, edward said he's scared of the test that there might be for integrations going forward after they hired the last batch of guys
Well a technical round makes sense but I am sure Dustin will make it stupidly annoying rather than something that is more like the day to day
Also he never hired any of us. He will want to build a team that is his image. We all made it work because of all the re org. Otherwise it was a complete mess. I had 3 bosses within 6 months
yeah, this whole place is, I'm 100% applying at other places and leaving this bitch
the ONLY thing I'm worried about is using chatgpt with python, I want to get away from it and try and do it from scratch but I'm having trouble on how/where to start with it. I don't need chatGPT with SQL so I'm good with that
Go on leetcode. These are the type of technical questions you can expect in interviews. Once you start clearing them by understanding the solution you will naturally develop the intuition needed to solve them in white board interview rounds
i got the 1st four hours here to do not a damn thing so I can do that lol
Honestly that would be the best use of time. 2 months of solid grinding and I think will be solid for most l3/l2 roles
