Good Morning @deleted-U06F9N9PB2A @Nicholas McFadden @Nick Ward! I talked to Alex a bit this morning about this idea. I think it would be good to have a morning huddle with representatives from departments so we can align on what's going on. The idea is that this huddle takes no more than 15 minutes (5-10 is usually ideal) and we go over wins, priorities, and stucks. It can help us get in front of issues before they reach any clients. It can also help answer questions that are too short for an email and might get lost in slack.
Thoughts?
**it's a good idea. I'm willing to commit to it! whatever helps.
@here feel free to pull in others to this chat to discuss. i wanted to start with you guys.
@deleted-U06F9N9PB2A I have a sheet somewhere that makes it easy to keep track of stuff from these huddles. I'll have to find it.
sounds good. Let's put together a list of people that would need to be in the huddle
It might also be beneficial to start department weekly adjustment meetings for departments not already doing something like that
Cam's not a fan lol. He's worried that it's a meeting for a meeting.
He'd rather see this first:
for sure. why don't we start w. VGA specifically and gather our thoughts internally cross depts prior to the standing weekly meeting? This way our response is more thoughtful on the spot
I just talked to Andy. he was like "just do it." lol.
I think we can test it for sure with either just VGA or API
Because everything he's wanting is what would come up in the huddle.
maybe a good middle ground would be to start w. VGA and plan on meeting ten minutes prior and keeping those 4 questions included above as bullet points. we can short hand doc the answers and have those accessible to gauge in a month or so if the time spent is beneficial to the campaign to decide if we continue.
i do like that Andy said "just do it" lol. I'll go bug the Nicks later lol. Andy also wants me to explain to Cam so I'll do that in person.
@Nicholas McFadden, please let Brittany know what time you guys decide on the huddle. She'll join or send someone. π
I think the huddles sound like a good idea, especially now while we are working through some issues. In the future, they can be less frequent if things are generally going well to avoid Cameron's concerns with it being a meeting for a meeting.
@deleted-U04GZ79CPNG yeah for sure. the idea is something i used to do at my last company. It's a 15 min standing huddle. Standing as in... you stand, not sit. People share wins, priorities, and stucks and talk issues. It should take no more than 15 min. It should create alignment and call attention to problems quick. π
Should we agree on ten am? i know everybody has diff peak times.
And we can go over to the Integrations office for now.
Letβs start 2/1β
reminder @here Huddle in the integrations office at 10
Thanks for the reminder! Can we make a calendar invite for this going forward?
Created. please forward to people who would benefit
@here FYI, i have an accounting meeting that will run into our huddle. If it ends early i will join, if not, fill me in
