I saw that there were two half page ad size options. Not sire if you actually need both but if you do, attached is the vertical version. I sent the horizontal version last night with the badge.
Thanks, @Chris. I will send it over. Can you provide everything in a lower res and a png or jpeg? Patsy, who is on the sales side and attending the conference, is asking for them, more than likely for her social media.
Attached are the digital banner ads that were also requested. I have three different versions for the 1000x1000 and then one version of the 700x210.
The 1k by 1k versions below would be best for any social media posting vs resizing what was delivered yesterday.
These designs are all based on what was approved yesterday.
@Chris perfect. I appreciate you.
Hi @Chris are we not providing a video? I no longer see our group chat with Cameron. Please advise so I can let their creative team know. Thank you.
We are I’m just unable to get a version completed before the weekend. I’ll send something over before Monday that will be inline with what’s been’s discussed and already created.
Here is the video ad >> https://f.io/bkI976WI
It’s high energy, no images, should stand apart from other ads and has the same messaging as our other collateral.
@Chris Thank you again. The ad is cool. Hello Adrienne,
Beautiful ad! Thank you for sending this over. We have received it.
Have a great week! Kirsten
@Chris, hello. Aaron Law Group is requesting a digital video. This is more of a creative request than a social media request. I need an estimate for the following. They have a "billboard opportunity across the street that is allowing us to create a 20-second video to display. Can you guys create a video that has 2 vehicles crashing into each other (can even be video game graphics or cartoon) and then going into advertising our law firm with an arrow point in our direction. The billboard is front, back, and side (which our logo can display on the side), and maybe a pic of all of us with our info as well." Here is a link to an image of their building. It's old. Their name isn't on the building yet. https://www.google.com/local/place/fid/0x80c8c37618a14e93:0x1373a4968d9cf961/photosphere?iu=https://streetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com/v1/thumbnail?panoid%3DINawFO0IzJQ8Nm9zLjbwhQ%26cb_client%3Dlu.gallery.gps%26w%3D160%26h%3D106%26yaw%3D3.4961855%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100&ik=CAISFklOYXdGTzBJekpROE5tOXpMamJ3aFE%3D
Attached is an image of the digital billboard that is more than likely what Michelle is referring to.
Sorry for the multiple messages. I just saw she attached a diagram.
What type of estimate are you requesting? a timeline to completion, cost?
is this a rush request at all with a deadline they are looking to hit?
She asked on March 28, and I just got approval to ask you about it. So it's behind schedule.
If it was ready for review by Monday, is that still considered a rush? I have to get approval from Andy to send the estimate to the client.
Do you have an idea of the budget they are trying to stick within or what kind of budget range they are expecting?
I will assume they think it's free, and we will create it. I would like to provide a realistic cost. This is a learning lesson for Andy and me as this type of request is new and becoming more frequent. This client believes it falls under social media. My knowledge is that it's creative.
ok, so the estimate I’m giving is basically just a number for internal education and not for the client to actually pay?
Yes, because in the end Andy will make the determination of what they would pay.
Perfect. My estimate is below with notes attached as well.
Stock footage: We subscribe to a service for stock but we need to “pay” for that service so I would suggest recouping those costs by either charging per stock item used or allocating some of the profit margin mark up to paying that yearly stock fee. If it were me, I would charge per item as there is potential to make more money that way.
Editing: We have editors on contract and I would bill those services at a minimum or $125/ hour - this recoups contractor costs and has a little margin on top as well.
Other: In a typical agency or post house there would be other people touching the project besides just an editor. There would be producers, designers, art director, creative director etc. etc. each of those should be included as a cost. Think of this as the time you and I are spending on the project managing the request, this pays for that time. But considering the lean nature of the request and our small team, I think we could leave off this line item as use the profit margin below for this cost.
Profit Margin: I’ve seen in many different agencies/companies treat this all different. I’ve seen all the number we’ve discussed above have a margin attached to them along with their actual cost and then another margin added to the total and I’ve seen all the numbers above be actuals and then one profit margin added to the actual totals. I like to have margins on the items above and an overall margin to the total. This way there are multiple ways to trim the budget if need be rather than just lowering the main profit margin.
For the request to create the video for the Aaron Law Group I would budget it as follows: Stock Video Clip: $90 (technically free with our subscription but gotta pay for the subscription) Editor: 4 hours @ $125/hour — $500 // This would include enough time for 1-2 rounds of revisions --- Could be as low as 3 hours but you also have to consider the time it takes to make exports, set up projects, actually work on the request, upload reviews, read feedback etc. etc. which is why I think 4 hours covers those costs. Profit Margin: +30% (you could make this percentage whatever you want — 30 is typical but I’ve also seem WAAAAAY higher. Just a matter of what you know the client will approve) Total: $767
Bottom line, you could say a cheaper number to the client but you guys are also trying to make money and there are hard costs involved with the stock site, contract editor, your time, my time and I think the $767 is a minimum and reasonable amount considering ALL the costs and just not, 1. stock video & 2. edit time, as most people think about it.
Let me know if you have any questions!
