I'd say, if the iphone is the most up-to-date (so it has the best camera), shooting on a phone will be fine. But, i think we should request some filming accessories for the phone. maybe a ring light, tripod, a gimbal/stabilizer, backdrop, would be useful if filming anything that's not stationary

Another thing I want to work on today.. the other day when we met with Cameron, he said a few things that made me realize there's a lot more regulation when it comes to what can/can't be posted on social media for lawyers/ law firms. So I looked up Nevada's Bar Association ethics guide on advertisng. I'm gonna take out they key points and add it to that social media document.
I also will look up New York & Florida's to see if they have anything different because that's where losg & dishowitz are located

Yeah exactly, for example, I had no clue that giving legal advice on social was a no-no. General advice is fine, like, "don't talk to the police until a lawyer is present," but, if there was a Q&A and someone asked for advice on their personal case, that isn't allowed. Since Andy isn't technically a lawyer, he may be able to get away with more though.
Also, I didn't realize how often disclaimers need to be added to posts. Even with testimonials, we have to ask permission from the person who wrote the review if we're allowed to share it before we post it.

Some of it is stock footage. The old hair commercials, or like clips of ben crump/videos from the 70s are all from youtube. My understanding is that the video would be allowed under 'Fair Use' because the 'content is being transformed in some way such as by providing your own commentary, review, criticism, etc. (in relation to the clip you're featuring) ' plus it's not like the video is being used as a paid ad, which would be more murky

Our goal with these videos was to take a more journalistic approach, incorporating relevant news stories to create informative content that resonates with people.
While some videos don’t reference the mass tort cases directly, they bring context and insights to the issues surrounding them, building awareness without feeling overly promotional. We can also include more details and call to actions about the torts in the captions.

Then maybe, something like… “everyday, we are victims of corporations for their negligence, greed and carelessness ( something along those lines), “keeping them accountable is xxxxxx”, “that’s where mass tort lawsuits come in”

As the TLMT Mardi Gras conference in New Orleans draws near, I’ve been reflecting on a significant legal event in the city’s history—one that still reverberates in the way complex litigation is handled today.
The Archdiocese of New Orleans’ bankruptcy filing. This case marked one of the first U.S. Catholic diocese to seek bankruptcy protection, shielding assets and limiting survivor payouts.
The bankruptcy halted pending abuse cases and set the stage for a complex legal battle that’s still unfolding today. Survivors were required to submit claims through the bankruptcy court, creating a complicated intersection between bankruptcy law and mass tort litigation.
At the time, about 70 claims and lawsuits had been filed. Today, nearly 600 abuse survivors have come forward and filed claims against the church. It is now one of the costliest and longest running of the 39 church bankruptcies in the U.S.
As we gear up for TLMT Mardi Gras, this case serves as a timely reminder of the challenges and intricacies of litigating complex mass torts and class actions.
I’m looking forward to discussing these pressing topics at the conference and exploring how we can continue to fight for justice in an evolving legal landscape.

Did you know Louisiana doesn’t follow the same legal system as the rest of the U.S.?
Unlike the other 49 states, which follow common law (court precedents), Louisiana’s legal system is based on civil law (Napoleonic Code, statutes over case law). Napoleonic Code is a structured system based on written statutes, not past rulings.
Why does this matter? Because in mass tort cases, different rules = different outcomes. Liability, damages, and procedural nuances in Louisiana don’t always align with the rest of the country.
That’s part of what makes New Orleans such a compelling place for the upcoming TLMT Mardi Gras conference, a city where legal history, culture, and innovation collide. We're an upcoming podcast titled Torts Illustrated. It unpacks the world of mass torts through storytelling, expert insights, and real-world perspectives. Episodes will feature attorneys, insiders, and those personally affected, revealing how these legal battles shape lives, industries, and the justice system.
The idea is to tap into the crime genre, but shifting the villian from serial killers to institutions. However, we don't want the brand guidelines/logo to reflect that of typical true crime conventions.
The podcast will be hosted by two women who act as the microphones, asking questions for the guests who are moreso experts in the field to answer and elaborate on.

Would it be possible to see some alternate font and color options? Right now, the combination of yellow and navy feels a bit too youthful for the tone we’re going for.
We're leaning toward a more mixed-media aesthetic. Something that incorporates halftone overlays, noise textures, grit, and a bit of an editorial feel. We'd love your help in identifying a font and color palette that would complement that style and still feel cohesive with the logo (which we like, though the slanted orientation might be tricky for certain applications).
