@Andy Rogers and @Patsy Miller, can you send me your "stages of a lead to opportunity" for the Sales Pipeline and for the Order Pipeline I suggest these stages:
Order Pipeline:
I set up a Sales Pipeline and used the following:
Probably need closed / contract signed And need funded
When you close a deal/opportunity, you tag it as CLOSED, so you don't need a stage for that. (your can also tag it as LOST or ABANDONED
Since a deal will go from Contract Booked (meaning closed, signed and at least first payment received to the Orders Pipeline in the workflow, additional payments can be added in the below stages
Sales Pipeline • Prospect • Active Conversation • Proposal Sent • Contract Sent • Contract Booked Order Pipeline:
Don’t ask for my help if you are only going to make fun of me 🫣
Tags should not be stages in my humble opinoin, tags are for anything that means something beyond an orders life-cycle stage.
I guess I used the wrong terminology. It's not a "tag", but an "opportunity status". The default options are WON, ABANDONED, LOST or OPEN.
Correct, so in Contract Booked and any stage after, it can only be WON
Any active opportunity sits in OPEN status until it's changed to one of the other status
We are aligned, perfect. We'll start with default Opportunity Statuses, and I'll create the 2 pipelines.
The sales pipeline is already set up. But do what you need with it. Thanks!
@Andy Rogers @Patsy Miller Guys, becuase Shield Legal works in the word "orders", I will make the Opportunities be renamed "Orders"....
Are you referring just to the Order Pipeline?
(sorry, I keep forgetting to tag people) @Ryan @Andy Rogers
No, we would have an Sales Pipeline with Orders in it and a Orders Execution Pipeline with Orders in it
Meaning the "word" Opporunity is literally just changed to "Order" so that the jargon Cam and the companies use to discuss a "deal" is "order" and not "opporunity" making Copper conform to our jargon.
No no, we need an opportunity on the sales pipeline for something that is being worked but not sold
I agree with Andy. Most of the sales side of the business is working through opportunities that could become orders
@Andy Rogers @Patsy Miller, I have setup the Sales Pipeline (with Patsy's help) and the Order Pipelines, added custom fields from our first pass. Have a second pass to do and will then create an Opportunity for an existing, active order to put into the Order Pipeline with all required fields.
FYI the Required Fields on the Opportunity are very different in the Order Pipeline than your Sales Pipeline to ensure get everything we need to get campaigns built and ready as fast as possible.
We can meet before we meet with Vikki so we can make sure you know what's what. Let me know.
@Patsy Miller @Andy Rogers , good morning. I have started the preparation of the Copper Companies data to be blended into the Shield Legal active and completed Orders Pipeline data from our production database, SO we can import all of these into Copper cleanly and in bulk. I'll have to match your Companies to our Leadspedia Advertisers plus map all custom fields. Estimating this to be about 4-6 hours of focus-mode to accomplish.
I'll review file with you before I import and upon that moment, all payments will need to be be made by Account Department team (one new Copper user) and we'll want one Operations User (Mark Maniora, Greg Owen, etc.) to update Copper as necessary.
@Ryan FYI, so Patsy is tryng to fill out a new lead that we are trying to close but she is being forced to enter a case type that we do not have. We need to set that up in a way that either lets us add the new case type right there or allows us to skip that
We need to add Gaming Addiction and Paragard.
I will add a drop down box option called "Other Case Type - 0" and add a custom text box to both pipelines for "Other Case Type" to save you trouble for asking @Patsy Miller
@Patsy Miller @Andy Rogers, the case type field has been updated to include Gaming Addiction, plus "Other Case Type" at the very top plus a "Other Case Type" field to type what you need.
@Patsy Miller, is this won deal in Copper? If not, can you add it and get it into the Sales Pipeline stage accordingly?
